Worse than my worst expectations - in the 8 months since I signed the contract, the only work he has been able to do is a digout (leaving the debris in the backyard) and some incorrect plumbing that will needed to be replaced.  The contractor does not appear to be familiar with the permit process and subcontractors appear to be concerned about his willingness/ability to pay for their work (the expeditor did not start pushing the permit for over a month for this reason).

My first contact with with the owner (I think his name is Dino).  He was friendly and enthusiastic and had a "can do" attitude.  He said he'd check with one of his project managers and get back to me.  A few days later I got an email saying that the project was now under the control of one of his employees and that I'd be getting a phone call soon.  No one called back.

Horrible. We gave them about 3 1/2 months to get their mistakes rectified and they just kept creating additional disasters so we terminated our contract with them. The ONLY bright spot is that we didn't let them "complete" the job -- who knows what conditions that would have left us with !! We fired them after they failed the second partial framing inspection that they were so certain that they were going to pass.
