Reserved four chairs at Joy's for mani/pedis for myself, my mom, mother-in-law, and a friend the day before my wedding. Joy welcomed us with balloons and a festive atmosphere, and everyone had a terrific time.
I also regularly visit this spa for waxing and manicures, and always enjoy bringing friends along. High quality services performed, super comfortable chairs, sincere sense of community, great conversation -- a small business in DC absolutely worth supporting. 

Their nail paint will last forever. It lasts probably ten days for my hands and weeks for my feet. I still swear by her for waxing. I refuse to go anywhere else. She does full body waxing and you have to be careful of who you trust for those special parts. The overall experience was excellent. The price is good and the quality of work is worth it. She is responsive. If she can't answer the phone she will call you right back. She is friendly. It is a family business and her children work there too. I have never had to wait more than five minutes.

Even before the business became Joy's Spa, I had been going to the owner, The Nuygen (everyone calls her Chi). I have been going faithfully for a pedicure every two weeks for about 12 years, and I have followed Chi everywhere she has gone. When I first started seeing her, I had recurring ingrown toenails, long-time callouses on my soles, and dreadfully dry feet. I would go to the podiatrist, and my feet would hurt even before I left the office. All that changed when I began seeing Chi. I have never seen since. The Signature Pedicure takes about one hour. It includes a foot soak, filing and shaping, cuticle treatment, foot exfoliation, polish, leg and foot massage, finishing, and last, but not least, a hot stone leg rub. Heaven is the adjective that immediately comes to mind. The business is a family business, with Chi's three daughters and her sister there. The quality of service is the same, no matter who you see. Chi's daughter, Tina, is the esthetician. Her facials are simply amazing. She has the most gentle hands ever. My face is so smooth and feels so good, I almost don't recognize it. No one else will ever do a facial for me. My biweekly appointments long ago became my Zen time. Doing without this experience would be unthinkable. By the way, Chi's son and daughter-in-law are massage therapists, doing couple's massage, deep tissue . . . .The name of the business is FLOW. This family is amazing. Need I say more about FLOW?

I have been going to this place for about 12 years. It is a family owned business and everyone is friendly and professional. They offer great products and do great work. They also offer body massages, manicures, full steam facials and are licensed massage therapists.
