Wonderful! They are the best! I've been retired for over 12 years. My job entailed using a computer all day. When to computer didn't work, I called the Information Technology Division (IT) and they came immediately and resolved my computer problem. When I retired, I began looking for a company to help me with my computer problems at home. I discovered Computer Geeks, who was listed in Angi's yearly magazine. What a blessing!! I've been using them ever since!! They're my IT folks for all my computer needs at home (like having my former IT office at work in my home). Jon was the tech that came to my home to set up my MacBook Pro and ensure my transition from my PC laptop went smoothly. He was able to handle all my request within about an hour. He was efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. This was the first time I used Computer Geeks and I would definitely call on them in the future for my computer needs and would recommend them to others.

This did not go well. They will dispatch someone to your home that cannot do the work and then expect you to pay after failing to perform the requested work (even though I clearly communicated the requirements of what must be done ahead of time) and when you try to express your dissatisfaction with this policy they will repeatedly put you off by not returning your call and then eventually (after about nine calls) ask you to stop calling. The billing department via Judian is very unprofessional.

"We generally do not respond to this sort of feedback but in this instance it is warranted as a caution to other small businesses dealing with this individual. - We welcome all honest feedback and guarantee our work fully. - Mr. [Member Name Removed] has paid $0 and we do not consider him a client. - This is a tough time for all small businesses. The last thing any honest small business still trying to serve its clients during Covid-19 needs is people who call you out to their location, don't pay a thing, and then leave a bad review. - This gentleman purchased his own laptop hard drive for us to reinstall or image Windows as the size of his current drive was insufficient. This is a very common problem these days and we are very familiar with it. He was informed at the time of scheduling this appointment that imaging is not always possible, and that as we had not seen his system or the replacement drive we could not guarantee that everything was compatible or possible to do at all. We reiterated that we work on a time and materials basis, and the client stated that this was acceptable to him and he scheduled an appointment. - Our tech went to this gentleman's location and determined that the replacement was possible but given the hardware at the location the computer would need to go to the shop. Generally when things come in to the shop the billable time is zero to very small and the client was informed of this fact. Nevertheless Mr. [Member Name Removed] refused to allow us to dispatch the computer to the shop where we do have more tools available to completely tear down a laptop, swap an M.2 drive and then image or reinstall the system (drive condition permitting). - Our tech left after the client repeatedly refused to allow the work to proceed and became somewhat hostile. - We want no further contact with this individual."

First, it is good to understand that the technicians sent out are independent contractors, so there is some variability in what you get.It is good to be very clear about your specific needs and expectations (don't rely on your phone or email request), vet their knowledge and their communication abilities given your needs. We had experience with two technicians, one listen and followed our pace, the other was more focus explaining how complicated it was to move photos from a Mac to a PC, he did not check to make sure the promised data transferred had actually happened (hence the second service call). Although they advertized an Angie's List discount and a senior citizen discount, neither was offered. Let us be honest, while we are experienced computer users we are of the silver-haired set so talking in short-hand didn't always worked and we had to slow them down as they told of the challenges they faced. They were politie and arrived on time, but did little to explain their services or billing practices (e.g., they took our old PC computer with the hard drive, thus leaving us without a way to import data that had not been transferred). The office manager recognized the error and had the technician later rectify the error remotely, but we are dependent upon their word that the hard drive will be totally cleaned). The bottom line is three service calls and several messages to the Office to get data transfer between two computers.

"Thank you for your feedback. We do not use contractors, all of our staff are employed by the company. Not all techs work every day, but they are not contractors working independently. They work for us. Unless specifically requested to do so we do not remove any hardware from client premises, particularly hard drives, and if we do there is a form that must be signed. We do not and did not have your [Member Information Removed]. We are very clear that we work on a time & materials basis. This has always been how we work. The office and our in house technical staff have spoken to you on several occasions, but If there is anything we can do to make you happier within the bounds of how we work as a company please let us know."

The Tech (David Lim) was very prompt, pleasant and professional. He checked over our computer thoroughly, ran scans, checked for malware and made helpful recommendations, including noting that we were entitled to free anti-virus protection through Comcast (which virtually paid for the visit by itself). We may ultimately need to upgrade the computer, but for now it is running better and faster and I have confidence that the problems weren't the result of a virus or malware. Well worth it (especially with the $25 off Angies List coupon).

Well. It turned out the contacts access problem was a Microsoft problem that others were experiencing and that is now fixed. The Administrator problem was easily fixed. The printer's life is beyond the usual, but I can live without full color reproduction in printing from the Internet.
