They spent several hours at the house sealing up all the gaps in my house, in the crawl space, attic, and main floor. They did a blower door test before and after and showed the numbers to me which I appreciated. They were happy to answer all questions I had and filled out all the rebate information I would need. My only qualm was that they also install insulation which I felt was a minor conflict of interest but they were not pressuring in any way. I came into the audit very well educated about insulation so I knew they were being honest and accurate, but another customer might not be.

As planned. Very helpful, provided me with discounts and other services if I ever needed it. Walked me through every step that was being performed and provided me with answer to all the questions I asked.

Both gentlemen arrived on time and began working on assessing the house for efficiency.  I had an audit done in 2012 and I have to say their work ethic is far superior to the slap dash work I received in 2012.
They covered the entire house, sealing off areas that should have been done in the previous audit.
Everything was clearly explained and they gave the necessary information to my contractor prior to an insulation project.

Not well.  Many light bulbs were replaced with more efficient CFL models which was probably the most valuable part of their service.  The blower test was not very helpful.  The known leakage areas such as the whole house fan, the attic pull down stairs and the in wall air conditioner were taped over rather than weatherstripped.  After the test was over, the tape was removed and the leaks to the outside were back, not sure exactly what that proved.  They attempted to weatherstrip the attic pull down stairs, but the weather stripping came off the first time I opened the door.  I had asked several times to have two doors to the outside weather stripped since you can see outside on the bottom corner of each, but that was never done and the corners are still open to the outside.  I had left them on their own down in the basement since I am on oxygen and it is tough for me to navigate the stairs.  When I went down after they left, I found boxes had been moved so they could access the overhead lights, but they were not put back in place.  Only 3 feet or so of the pipes off of the hot water tank were insulated, the rest of the pipe left exposed.  The downstairs lights were left on when they left.  In the attic, I have a piece of vapor barrier insulation that gets placed over the attic stairs to protect against the cold coming in from the attic - they had taken that off to access the attic, but they didn't replace it when they were done.  The lights were left on in the attic so I had to walk to each pull chain to turn them off.  The heat was turned up to 90 degrees on one zone for the furnace efficiency test, and they left it at that setting.  The main reason for requesting the audit was to have it documented that we had insufficient insulation so we would qualify for the Eversource rebate, and that was done so it was not a total waste of time and money.  I now know why they only accept cash.  I would not recommend this company,

Two workers showed up on time, displaying their ID badges. They entered the home and covered their shoes in order not to track dirt into my house. They described what they were going to do during the audit. I was allowed to watch whatever they did, ask questions, and follow them around if I wanted to. They performed a blower test and proceeded to fill all gaps and cracks around windows, in the attic, and in the basement with either caulk or foam insulating materials. They changed out incandescent light bulbs for energy efficient ones, and changed out water aerators as needed with water saving aerators. They came up with recommendations for increasing energy efficiency, and also showed me rebates available if I chose to act on their recommendations. This company does not do the actual improvements (such as insulating), so there's no conflict of interest with their recommendations. The audit took about 4 1/2 hours to complete. It was very extensive and the results were very informative. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to improve the energy efficiency of their home. The cost was $99, and I think it was worth every penny.

Appointment was scheduled quickly, a reminder was sent out and a reminder phone call was made. Two employees arrived on time, explained the scope of the audit and got to work. They explained as they worked, asked questions to provide the best service. At the end they went over all recommendations . Very good experience.

The guys that came out were very informative. They told me what they're doing, explained everything and how it worked. I heard of some of this testings that they did but I never see them actually done which was exciting. They just seemed very thorough in everything. The tiniest little parts they would foam up and insulate so they would patch so no air or anything would leak in and I was really impressed with that. They just seem to know what they're doing and did a good job at it.
