Matt and team did a fantastic job! Every aspect of the job - responsiveness, punctuality, clean work (hung plastic for dust), and top quality work. Matt provided a schedule for each day of the job and actually finished ahead of schedule. The guys showed up every day on time and worked all day. I am exceptionally detail-oriented and so is Matt - all the details were handled perfectly. Matt worked with my electrician and handled all the HVAC work with his contractors. Worked perfectly! Gove's team did a fantastic job of scraping and removing the old glazing and paint and reglazing and painting all of the windows. They also cleaned the glass and vacuumed out the sills.

Outstanding! Gove Restoration is an outstanding contractor. From the initial estimate, through construction and the final walk through, Adam Gove and his team operate as true professionals. Their knowledge of the industry, meticulous attention to detail and commitment to customer service is unmatched. We hired Gove Restoration to make our 1st floor enclosed porch and 2nd floor open-air porch in our circa 1757 home structurally sound, stable and usable. The foundation, walls, floor and ceiling suffered considerable rot and were on the verge of collapsing from water damage through the years caused by incorrectly placed gutters (which they also fixed). The process was straightforward and top-notch. Adam was on the job site constantly. Any concerns or questions throughout the process were addressed immediately and issues were resolved quickly and thoughtfully with our budget in mind. Adam’s crew are all well experienced in their trade, are courteous, and their workmanship is excellent. Gove Restoration made a project that I was dreading remarkably pleasant and stress-free. We are incredibly happy with how the double porch turned out. Thank you for turning a dilapidated, unusable space into a safe, functioning area my family and I now enjoy daily. This contractor is first class in every aspect of their work. Starting with the estimate process, there’s no uncertainty with what they are doing. They provide a very detailed estimate and it’s clear what’s included and what is not. Very refreshing to see the details described in their estimates. Their work is second to none and every employee is kind and addresses any question you have right away. They actually make you feel like you’re their best and only customer. This is our 4th home and we’ve worked with contractors for over 20 years, I’ve never seen such attention to detail and high quality work before. This contractor takes their time and even when no one is looking, they will redo things to make it perfect. My wife and I were happy with the work and there were some very minor items they didn’t like when they did the final inspection/walk through and they fixed it on their nickel. We hired Gove Restoration to completely repaint our 1920’s era home. From the first contact to the final day of work I can say it was a huge pleasure to work with this company. Gove Restoration has proven time and time again they are best in class. We needed a exterior door replaced which entailed a new door, casing, and adjusting the tile floor on the inside. Gove provided door options and styles that allowed us to pick one out that we liked. During installation, we were home due to Covid-19 Pandemic and they were very professional. They blocked off the area to ensure distancing, wore masks when needed to speak to me or my wife. My 2yr old was also home and he was very interested they provided great entertainment to him for the day and acknowledged his interests while doing the work and never once got annoyed. I will always recommend and hire Gove for not only the quality of the work but the quality of their customer service.

There isn’t a high enough letter grade to give Matt Gove and his crew. We have used them for two major home improvement projects and are completely satisfied with both. They are meticulous craftsmen. They show up when they say they are going to show up, clean up at the end of each day, offer suggestions without trying to up sell, and do excellent work all at a reasonable and informed price. Since they finished their last project - a complete redo of our front porch- passers by have repeatedly stopped and commented that our house looks like something out of a magazine. We are so happy with the results. We recommend them for any project without reservation.

Our experience working with Gove Restoration has been exceptional. We hired them to design and construct bonus areas as part of a basement finishing project in our home and from start to finish, the process was straightforward and first-rate. From the outset, Matt asked his trusted subcontractors to assist in accurately quoting and planning the project to avoid any “surprise” costs later. The few additions and modifications we elected to make as things began to take shape were seamlessly integrated with beautiful, on-time results. We especially appreciated Matt’s integrity and thoroughness throughout the process. Experiences with past contractors had left us skeptical that things could actually progress on schedule and budget, but his attention to detail and accountability for all aspects of the project (including materials, inspections, subcontractors, timelines, etc.) made this a very pleasant experience. We could not be more delighted with the finished result for our recreation and hobby rooms as well as still having ample useable storage and workspace. I believe the best recommendation is supported by a willingness to work with a contractor again and we have two more projects “on deck.”

It went very well. I had spent the prior summer painting my garage, so I had gained a keen appreciation for just how much work it was. As an engineer, I was impressed at the quote stage that they had a clear process and explained exactly what they would do. They are a premium paint contractor, and used high quality materials. Most impressive was that these guys are efficient. I was amazed at how quickly they got the job done. Most importantly, at every step of the process, they made sure to do it right. There were no corners cut or shortcuts taken.

Working with Gove Restoration was a great experience and if we could give them higher than an A rating, we would. Our project involved a kitchen, family room and living room renovation, and we couldn't be happier with the results-our new kitchen/living space is beautiful- exactly what we had hoped for and more. When we initially contacted Gove Restoration, we connected with Adam Gove. It was apparent to us early on that Adam was professional, thorough, detail oriented, and committed to doing the best job for his clients. We were impressed with the amount of time that Adam spent meeting, planning and discussing the project with us prior to beginning the renovation work itself. And once the project actually began, we were even more impressed if that was possible! It was clear that Adam put a great deal of time into planning and preparation and as a result, the project moved forward like clockwork and finished right on schedule. We were simply amazed at how smoothly and quickly our project progressed. Having Adam and his brother Matt (and on occasion their Dad) working at our house was a delight. They are quietly kind and confidence-inspiring, trustworthy, skilled and meticulous. And when we say meticulous we mean it- we would come home at the end of each day to a clean and neatly organized work space. There were a couple of unique design issues that presented given our space, and Adam and Matt came up with and executed perfect and beautiful solutions. Adam managed our project. He had the nicest way of gently guiding us in the right direction when we would be a little unsure about some of the decisions that needed to be made and his insight and guidance was always spot on. He kept us fully informed every single day about what was happening, and we always knew what to expect and which of his subcontractors (who were a very talented group of professionals as well) would be working at the house. Besides being gifted craftsmen, Adam and Matt's customer service is second to none. We are thrilled with our new kitchen (which was completely gutted and totally redone), our renovated family room (which included a beautiful new fireplace mantle designed and built by the Gove brothers to match the style of our new kitchen cabinets, perfectly laid out new recessed ceiling lighting, the removal of our old barn board paneling and the installation of new sheetrock and beautiful crown molding, along with a newly framed front window and a new door into the family room from the garage), our entry way (which involved the removal of the existing tile and installation of new wood flooring, molding and lighting) and our living room (which included sheet rock repair and removal of the existing wall to wall carpeting and refinishing of hardwood floors underneath). We were so impressed with the attention to detail that was given to every aspect of the project. Gove Restoration's workmanship is incredible and they are a pleasure to work with. And we love that Gove Restoration is a family business. Who would have thought that a renovation project could actually be a pleasant experience?? We cannot say enough good things about this company. We would hire them again in an instant and we highly recommend them!

We hired Gove Restoration (Adam Gove) to split a larger room into a library and a mudroom. As part of the renovation, we had to move heat and electrical, close off two existing doors (one to the garage), open up walls, create a new opening, take out an old intercom, create a new entry from the garage, install built-in cubbies, and install both a hardwood and a tile floor. The area wasn't huge - but it was a total transformation. Every person that worked under Adam was professional, hard-working, and went above and beyond. Our built-ins (Tom at Village Cabinets) are beautiful. Warren, who did the trim and floors, was amazing. Their plumber came back twice in one day because we noticed when purging the system to move the heat our daughters room was too hot (totally unrelated to the project and an issue with the house). He found the valve and re-calibrated. It's obvious that Gove Restoration takes pride in their work and oversees *every* aspect of the project. I can't remember a day that Adam wasn't at our house (or a day that he didn't come at the end of the day to clean). He went over every detail of the project with us, and gave us suggestions for picking out the things that we needed to (e.g. recommendations tile sizes, patterns, etc). It should be noted that we were 2/3rds of the way through this project when the COVID-19 pandemic hit high gear. We made the decision to finish the project (same skeleton crew that had been in our house), and Adam made it so that it was completed literally a few days later (at least a week and a half ahead of schedule). They were *beyond* accommodating to our requests - I still have the image of Adam, and the sheet rocker entering with a disinfectant wipe in one hand and a vacuum or pail in another. They put up plastic sheeting and were in constant communication. I can without a doubt say that we would have NEVER had the project finished if it weren't with Gove. And I can 110% say that I will choose them for our next renovation project. As they say, you get what you pay for, and we really feel like we got the best.

Once again, we could not be more pleased with the work that Matt and his sub-contractors did for us. Just as we were totally satisfied with Gove's painting of our 18th century home a couple years ago, we were very impressed with theirwork on rebuilding the front of our 100-year old carriage-style garage and installing overhead doors. Matt was extremely helpful in describing options to us, helping us determine the best approach for functionality, aesthetics, and price. What was most impressive was his close coordination and management of the various workers who completed carpentry and electrical work. He stopped over frequently to oversee the work and ensured that materials arrived on time and work was completed on schedule. With Gove, a client doesn't have to choose among quality, speed, service, price - you get it all. Matt and his brother (as well as his dad) are the best at what they do - they are our go-to people whenever our house needs work.
