I hired Mike company to remove an old flower and clean the area for planting grass seed. He quoted $250.00. Then came back and said $50 more due to a large bush. I agreed. The day of the job he told me he underestimated the job and it should be $400.00. He suggested we call it a day at $350.00. So my job went from $250 to $350. I paid him but I will never to business with him again. I had to hire another company to clear the area for grass seed

Said I?d be on the schedule but had to call to remind him. Indicated I wanted notice so I could take the day off and do the garden while they did the yard (didn?t happen). Left my fence open and unable to close securely (misplaced the closing mechanism and didn?t mention this to me) when I had expressly stated my concern for my flight risk rescue dogs. Was aloof when I mentioned it. Raked up and completely culled a 6 year old perennial strawberry patch with hundreds of plants after I said I?d do the garden myself. Numerous perennial flowers were also removed (again with a rake after I said leaf blowing was fine but I?d do the rest myself). Only apologized AFTER I canceled my follow up appointment. Super nice guy, very interesting and personable, but my personal experience with their work left a lot to be desired. They did efficiently leaf blow and clear a yard I neglected to do fall cleanup in - so I?ll give them points there. Total visit time was just under 3 hours.

I hired R yard to mow my yard and modify a stone dust area last year. The mowing was okay but sometimes they would come at the wrong time i.e every 2 weeks versus every 3 like I requested. Also at times there were spots that were missed for trimming. Additionally, there were several delays in getting the stone dust area completed because of other jobs they were doing. I understand a couple of delays but I had to call several times to get it completed. I would be given a date and then it would be delayed again. I was expecting them to show up this season but when I called Mike told me he would not be coming out to my area because I was the only client in the area, but didn't bother to tell me he was dropping me as a client and suggested I look at Angi's list. He missed the point; I was his client he should of called and told me he would not be providing service.
