After having lost heat in the zone where our kids' bedrooms are the previous week, we had called another heating company that we used for annual maintenance. They were unable to come out the same day and then, after diagnosing the problem, weren't able to schedule us for a repair for several more days. I called Schede around lunch time based on Angie's List reviews and because they were authorized dealer for our brand of furnace. They were extremely responsive and came to the house by mid-afternoon and had the necessary part on the truck. Mike and his assistant saved the day and had the heat back up and running within an hour. They were very knowledgeable and professional and gave us a very clear explanation of any issues with the furnace, my wife and I were very impressed. We will definitely use Schede again.

Schede Plumbing quoted a price over the phone after asking about the current Hot Water Heater and our family size to determine usage. Lou Schede (owner) indicated that they would match quotes from other vendors, which they did. We agreed upon a service date and they coordinated the delivery & service on very short notice.The new appliance came just before 7:30 am as we agreed, however the technician did not arrive until 8:00 am.
The Technician installed the HWH and did a fine and professional job.

When the pipe burst it cost around $1500, and the plumbing issues cost around $200. They do a great job. I would highly recommend them. We had a small issue and they came back out in a timely manner and fixed the problem.

Exceeded all expectations by far. They actually hooked up a temporary hot water heater so we could use showers while they did the work, something no one else offered to do. The price was below others and I don't think anyone else could have done the job as well. Other jobs done for us have been equally good.

Their communication is pretty good. They follow our rules. When they don't, they take it on the chin. The prices are pretty good for the area. They are always nice and respectful. Sometimes we can be difficult to deal with.

They took a half day to patch the pipe. They charged me an arm and a leg. It was very expensive. I complained about the time they spent here with two people to weld a water pipe. My opinion of them is very poor.

"We went out on an emergency basis which means immediate response pulling men off other jobs or going after hours, we were there 4 hours and charged $500. In this area for the rates that we pay our plumbers that is a very fair price. I have the invoice if a Angie's list rep would like to review. Thank you, Vivian Schede"

We hired Schede to replace our old boiler that was spewing soot. He was very nice and his team prompt. They completed the job in 1 day. However, there was a strong oil/gasoline smell afterward. I contacted Schede at least 3 times by phone and was told by his wife that "it's normal". It was a very strong odor and didn't seem normal. After over a week of phone calls he finally came out and sprinkled some white absorbent powder on basement floor. Still didn't stop the smell, so I called my heat company. They came out and found a significant oil leak! (in a newly installed system!) My family (and asthmatic son) had been breathing pure oil for over a week! They fixed the boiler that was improperly installed. Schede refused to accept responsibility in several phone calls my husband has with him. Implied that I was "making up" the smell and it "wasn't that bad". In the end, after almost a month and several more phone calls and a letter, Schede did pay our heat company's bill for the repairs. I do not recommend his company at all.

"The oil smell is normal, unfortunately the Member had an oil leak in the existing part of her boiler system that was not touch, serviced, replaced or repaired by us and it was due to her oil company installing the filter backwards that caused the leak. We can not be held accountable for other's work or mistakes. Thank you Vivian Schede"

The water goes to the carpet so I called them early this morning and within a minute, after leaving a message with an answering service, they got back to me. An hour later someone actually came out and cleaned it up and rectified the problem. They are very punctual and professional. They did a nice job, however I thought they were very overpriced. They have installed a water heater in the past. I looked them up on Angie's List to see if they were on the list. He had an assistant with him.

When they came out to install the kitchen sink they charged me over five hundred dollars just for labor, because I supplied the sink and the faucets. I thought that since they had to send out two people I should not have to be charged for both, because it only takes one person to do the job. My only complaint with them was that they were too expensive. The men who came out were very young, maybe in their early twenties. They did a very good job, but I did not think that it was worth the cost. I paid the bill, because it was my mistake not asking for an estimate. I called them back again, because I did not know of any other companies and I needed the toilet installed quickly. The work was excellent. The gentleman came out on time, however I certainly paid the price. I had to call them back a couple of times before I could get them to come back out, however once I got them to set a date they came out on time. The young men who came out had an okay level of professionalism, however the work seemed to take a long time. I think that they might have been new plumbers. They were nice and professional to work with, however in the end I found them to be too expensive for me to continue using them in the future.

AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY GOOD, THEN I FOUND OUT THAT THEY INSTALLED SOMETHING WRONG WHICH WAS CAUSING ME ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS. THEY FIXED ONE THING AND THEN A FRIEND HAD TO FIX ANOTHER. THEY WERE AVERAGE AND I LIKE PERFECTION.
