Mike was efficient from the time we had our first meeting. He set all expectations and there were no surprises. From project time to dumpster drop off and pick up to clean up . This was big job and it took 2 days. I was around for most of it and it was a pleasant experience! They all work very hard. Josh was supervising and did not miss a beat. He answered all questions. Marcos and his team were professional , respectful and extremely diligent. Mike runs a great company and treats his employees with respect. Looking forward to easier winters . Thank you!

This project was in the Devonwood development performed on a beautiful large sprawling colonial home. As usual we started by stripping the existing roof down to the plywood. The roof deck was in fairly good condition, but there where several areas on the lower 1st floor roofs that where leaking, especially in the winter. We repaired those areas and in one particularly high risk area we removed some cedar clapboard siding and ran a special high viscosity ice and water shield up the wall in the transition point between the roof and the siding. After that membrane was installed we installed new wood siding to finish the area. The project also included several Velux deck mounted skylights. These where installed using the factory manufactured flashing kit. After these trouble areas where addressed we installed their high quality new roof using a classic Estate Gray architectural shingle that has a subtle but noticeable contrast between a lighter and darker gray. Jennifer's home looks amazing!"

I am very happy that I chose Rhino Back Roofing to replace my roof.. From the estimate to the project's completion and follow up Rhino Back provided excellent service. Mike's informative overview of the project process and materials used was a step above his competition in terms of detail and genuine attentiveness to my questions. Came as soon as possible, as the roof had a leak, crew got right to it , and they worked effiently all day . Covered the plants with tarps, and had a young lad cleaning up scraps into to the dumpster . I couldn't have asked for a better job . Right from the estimate with Mike , he took time showing me the materials, checked the attic , which none of the other roofers did. This was my best experience in all the years I have lived in this home ( 40yrs 3rd roof) I certainly would recommend , the well organized company to everyone of my friends and neighbors.

We decided to replace our existing roof so we contacted three local area contractors. One was more of larger company doing roofing all over CT, the other two were local guys. The larger company gave us a solid quote, but the person who came and looked at the roof was a total salesman. We had some questions about the roof that he could not answer but said he would have someone call us. The other local guy missed the scheduled time then did a drive by the house, providing a good quote, but never even talked to us. Then there was Mike from Rhino. Mike showed up on-time and was very friendly. He looked over the whole roof and even went into the attic to get a good feel for the job. He then spent about an hour taking us through the job, answering all our questions right on the spot. It was obvious he knew his stuff! Gave us outstanding advise that kept us from spending on unneeded modifications to the roof.
Mike gave us a very solid quote. He was not as cheap as the larger company, but it was clear we would get an outstanding product from him and his team. I think that the other company was making up the costs on ridge vents along with some other cost cutting adjustments that Mike advised against. We took Mike's advice and could not be happier.
Josh, Mikes project manager was awesome. The team showed up on-time and knocked out the job in two days and we have a big house. They were so friendly and helpful, we cannot say enough positive things about the guys. As for the roof, it looks awesome!! Mike helped us pick the color and he was spot on! We love it! 10 for 10 for Rhino-back roofing - the entire team. It was worth paying a bit more for such quality work and advice.

Everything went well. Mike was even patient when we changed a few items a few times. He worked with us the entire time. We felt confident in their ability to meet our expectations and they did. Our experience with Rhino Back Roofing almost seemed too good to be true. That feeling prevailed from the point when Mike arrived (right on time) for our estimate to the final walk-around inspection with the project manager, Josh, to assure that we were completely satisfied with our new roof installation.
Mike spent far more time with us during the estimate than any other contractor. After doing a thorough inspection and measurement of our roof edges, roof surfaces, perimeter trim, and fascia boards he sat down with us and went through what materials would be used and why and walked us through the old roof removal, repair measures, and new roof installation. He answered our questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner then stepped out to his car to work up our estimate. Several minutes later he knocked on the door and handed us a printed and very detailed estimate that was competitive with other estimates we had received.
Everything happened when and how it was promised. The installation crew was amazing. They were efficient and hard working. The on-site carpenter replaced all the rotted fascia, soffits, and trim while the crew installed the full perimeter drip edge and underlayment materials exactly as specified. The roof area around the chimney was waterproofed, the chimney was re-leaded and then the new roof shingles were installed. During the entire process, the crew was all business; each member seemed to know exactly where he needed to be and what to do, so things moved very quickly.
Clean up was thorough. The driveway and lawn were swept and raked until there was no debris visible. Finally, a magnetic roller was run up and down the driveway and all around the house multiple times to pick up any roofing nails that might be left on the ground.
We are very pleased with our new roof! Having watched the entire installation process, we can say that everything we asked for was done perfectly and every part of the roof system was installed with meticulous care. If you?re looking for excellent customer service and a quality roof, we would enthusiastically recommend Rhino Back Roofing.

Mike and his crew were professional, thorough, punctual and efficient. The whole thing finished on budget and on schedule. When we encountered an unanticipated situation, they worked with us to find an economical and effective solution. I felt like part of the process from start to finish. All aspects were explained thoroughly from the day of the estimate, which was much appreciated. They cleaned up the site very well when finished. They showed up,when they said they would, and finished when they said they would. All around a very positive experience.

Considering installation of heating cables on the second story of my 25 year old roof to prevent future ice dam build up. First needed an assessment of condition of roof and adequacy of insulation to determine if there was anything further that needed to be done. I really appreciated Mike's expert opinion and his honest, professional input and will definitely consider him when the time comes for a new roof.

Love, love, love my new roof. An investment like this can be rather daunting but Rhino Back Roofing made it to easy. Out of the 5 contractors I reached out to, Mike spent the most time with us. He explained everything in detail, what he recommends, why he uses the products he does and answered all our questions. He is very knowledgeable and you can tell very passionate about his business.
The team came and finished the roof in 1.5 days. They worked very hard, were very polite and did a good job cleaning up. The project manager Josh was onsite during the entire job and made sure everything was being done correctly and to answer any of our questions.
The tiles we picked out look great on the house: Sedona Canyon. Its hard to tell from looking at a small sample. Mike worked with us, showed us multiple colors and also felt it Sedona Canyon would look good.

My wife and I shopped this job the best we could. We requested quotes from four companies for our roof replacement, skylight replacement and chimney repair of which two of the companies were referred by neighbors. Two of the four were not able to quote the chimney repair but the quotes were itemized so we were able to compare apples to apples. The difference between the highest and the lowest was $1,500 on the roof replacement. The shingles offered were Corning and Timberline. We read every review we could find on both and found that Corning had a slight edge because it has a nailing strip. This wasn't a make or break difference. We had four quotes from well-reviewed and experienced roofing contractors so we based our decision on who we thought would be the most likely to do the best job, expert and clear communication on remedy for existing roof leak and ice damming, the most likely to return to fix a problem, price and value. Rhino-Back Roofing was the clear choice. The job took three days, the roof looks great, the skylights fit perfect and the chimney looks awesome. The service was professional and the cleanup was good.
