Mavis Tire Company of Greenwich

I thought I would give the place the benefit of the doubt even though most of the reviews are horrible. I figured it can’t be that bad. I was wrong! This place is the horribly run business as described in all the negative posts here on Angies, Yelp, and elsewhere. First don’t believe any of the names they give you on the phone, because when you get there they tell you there is no one working there by that name. Customer service is non-existent, and no one gives you a straight answer. And this so called Eddie they all speak of is nowhere to be found. They are all unprofessional, look miserable, and disheveled! They don’t keep their word and bold face lie to you. I’m not going to rehash all the details, but it was so bad, I told them what they can do with their tires and left. If you are smart you will heed all the negative reviews and not patronize this business. A bad experience from start to finish!

DO NOT USE THIS MAVIS. They are totally unreliable. Reserved my tires 3 times and all three times told me they didn't have them when I arrived. Manager is not responsive, empty promises. They will tell you they have the tires you want, then when you get there, they will try to sell you different tires, even different sizes.

We often stop by Mavis Tire unannounced and they are always so friendly and willing to check our tire pressures on the spot. I recently had an issue (the tire pressure light came on) and they quickly took the pressures, adjusted them, and then told me what to look for on my displays to know whether I need to come back or the issue is fixed. We've been there countless times (and have purchased tires from them -- THEY WILL COMPETE!!) and I would highly recommend them. Yes, it's a big company, but Mavis Tire Riverside is truly a neighborhood service center you can feel good giving your business to.

We've been customers of Mavis for years. I used to price shop each time we needed a new tire. I would call Costco, BJ's, Town Fair Tire, and Mavis, and would go to a different provider each time. Over the years we came to realize that every time we went to Mavis, we always came away happy. Their service is fast, their prices are great (and they will beat any price, including Costco), and we really liked the fact that they keep a complete record on each of our cars, showing the date, make, model, and position of every tire they've ever installed. We have had good luck with their Warranty coverage - no hassle when we have a tire with and quot;road hazard damageand quot; (holes or other problem) - they just fix it or replace it. Based on all this, we stopped going elsewhere and now we go to Mavis every time.

These tires have been nothing but a problem. Constantly leaking air. Finally found a flat yesterday. When I called Mavis this morning, they told me to tow the car in and they would see what the problem is with the tire. (Duh.....crappy tires that you sold me). Told me that because I declined their warranty for flats, they might have to sell me a new tire. (This one isn't a year old yet). I think the tire is defective because I can't even put "Fix a Flat" into the tire, to drive it to Mavis to look at. The tire value just won't accept it. (wasted two cans trying to put it in, as I thought the first can was defective). This is the second time we've had problems with Mavis in Greenwich and their tires (problem with another car). Next time, I'll just go to our local gas station or dealership and have them put on new tires. Can't say I'm impressed with Customer Service at Mavis....borders on downright rude and snotty.

Mavis has been able to provide the tires needed quickly and at very competitive prices. The jobs were completed when they said they would and neatly.

WE PURCHASED A NEW TIRE FROM MAVIS AND THEN MOUNTED AND BALANCED THE TIRE. UNFORTUNATELY A FEW MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD A LARGE BUBBLE APPEARED ON THE NEW TIRE. WE HAD NOT BEEN DRIVING THIS CAR (AWAY AT SCHOOL).WHEN WE NOTICED THIS, WE WENT RIGHT BACK TO MAVIS WHO SAID THEY WOULD REPLACE THE TIRE. OF COURSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE IN STOCK SO THEY GAVE US A 'LOANER' UNTIL THE NEW ONE CAME IN. WHEN IT DID, THEY CALLED, MOUNTED THE TIRE AND ALL WE PAID WAS AN ADDITIONAL $10.00 FOR BALANCING.
