Overall, it went very well.  I would have liked it if they had done the job on the faucet correctly the first time but, given the problem and the fact that I am not a plumber, they might have thought that the problem was less of an issue than it actually was.  Having to take the time from my busy schedule to deal with a second visit was not great but their pleasant attitude and efficiency compensated for the inconveniences.

John from Ridgefield Plumbing responded to both emergencies by calling back immediately and arriving at our house within the hour -- as promised. Both times, he fixed the problem, and also did a great job of explaining it so we could understand what had happened. The cost was $180 but for an immediate visit on a weekend -- for the sheer relief of getting the problem fixed -- I thought that was fair. The only reason I rated Ridgefield Plumbing a B rather than an A on quality was because the part John used to repair the toilet didn't work perfectly -- but when we called to let him know, he said he wasn't surprised (he gave us the generic part, whereas our toilet needs a specific part), and if he returns tomorrow as promised, I will upgrade the rating to an A.

Ridgefield Plumbing was professional, courteous and fast. I could not reasonably ask for more from any company.
They will be my first call in the future with or without an Angie's List coupon.

I phoned the company  around 8 AM. Call back came within 15 minutes.John said someone would come by around 9:30. Knock on the door @ 8:30Steve came by to inspect and get particulars.   Nice man,was proffesionalandcourteous'.  The heater arrived about 2:00 and Steve returned to install.at 4:00.   He explained what he was doing each step and what I shouldexpect from the water line - gurgles etc.  He explained their warranty and the companyswarranty also. All in all they far surpassed the large plumbing companyI'd been using from Norwalk.  And I had hot water in less than a day.

They did a good job.  They were on time and showed up when they said they were going to show up.  The work was good; it was what we had specified.  It was really difficult getting a quote from them, I had to call them numerous times, and I finally got them to give me a quote.  Once the job was scheduled, they were quite responsive.

Our issue proved not to be a "plumbing" one per say, but was associated with central air system.  Still, they proceeded to remedy the situation without missing a beat, blowing out a kinked hose and sucking up water.   So often plumbers are non responsive, make you wait for HOURS or never show up at all!  Ridgefield Plumbing was extremely prompt and responsive.  We have never found a plumber who we felt comfortable with their work from start to finish, and I am happy to say that we now have!  I believe that given the nature of service provided and limited time spent on the job, their pricing is on the high side....but I also believe that this may be a case of you get what you pay for and the confidence that I have in them is well worth the higher price.   I rated them as "fair" in terms of pricing to assist potential customers in evaluating where they stand in relation to another company.   Nice company based on this experience and we would call them again in a heartbeat!

They came out and serviced the water piping through my furnace. They replaced the filter and housing unit from the well and did some other repairs while they were in the home. I was having an issue with the filter getting clogged after the service and they came back checked and replaced with bigger filter cartridge all at no charge. They took the time to explain why the issue was happening and how to prevent in the future. They are very professional and charge for work done and not travel time to my home like some others have in the past. Definitely recommend.

We called Ridgefield Plumbing last Friday. They responded within the hour.Steven said he would call on Monday between7:30&8:00AM.
He called on time, and scheduled tha service call for the next day between10-12AM. He called at 10:30 that day to say he would be at our house by 11:30 as an update on how his day was going. He arrived around 11:15 and proceeded to get to work.He had completed the
job within an hour-hour and one half ;presented his bill and was on his way with one little detour. We asked him about coming back to do 2-3 other jobs.He said to give Ridgewood Plumbing a call when we were ready.

We had been having water pressure problems for awhile, and, from internet research, my husband thought it was a problem with a sensor on our water tank.  It didn't seem like an emergency, so we had called Ridgefield Plumbing and Heating with the idea of setting up a convenient appointment time, but hadn't definitely arranged anything.  Suddenly the water tank intake started leaking badly, and when my husband spoke to John about it, he said it was a pressure problem, and we should probably turn off the circuit breaker when we weren't actually using the water.  Since it was a Sunday, he said we would have to pay double the labor rate if they were to come that day, so he was trying to advise us how to hold it together until Monday.  However, I was really uncomfortable with that, so he sent Manny out to fix it.  Manny was quick and efficient, explained everything to us and showed us where the problems were.  There were three pieces of the water intake assembly that were badly corroded and needed to be replaced.  He did the work, and the bill was less than I had anticipated. I would highly recommend them.

I thought the job was excellent on all counts. He arrived on time and he completed the job quickly, efficiently and effectively. We called them on Friday and within an hour they called us back. They informed us they would call us on Monday to schedule and appointment. They called when they said they would and set up an appointment for the following day. The serviceman, Steven, called to the day of the appointment to give an update on timing and arrived within time. When he arrived he worked and within an hour the job was complete. We also had him look at a couple other things we were looking at having done. He checked them out and asked us to call when we were ready to schedule, which we plan on doing. Everything was very fair and professional.

My experience was excellent.  They answered the phone and they were easy to reach.  They came right away and they did a job at a reasonable price.  They knew what they were doing and they were pleasant to deal with.  I would recommend them.  Overall, they were the best.  I was really happy.

Very Professional, arrived on time.  Using gas detection equipment he scanned all areas of the bathroom and determined that there was no septic leakage from toilette or from any traps in bathroom.

Ridgefield Plumbing and Heating winterized my house.  We had a fire and the house was vacant, so they had to turn off the boiler and flush the lines so water wouldn’t be flowing through the pipes.

Contacted another pump co. and they would not install a pump I had bought ( their price for the same pump I bought was 250 more.) Ridgefield Plumbing came as scheduled, was curteous, prompt and did an excellent job installing a new pump ( including removing the old one) and replacing all the 1 1/2 in discharge pipe with 2" discharge piping. The job done including bracing of the discharge pipe was very well done, and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use again.

I attempted to repair our toilet and ended up making a mess of it. We were leaving in four days for a trip and really needed to get the toilet working. I called Ridgefield Plumbing & Heating based on their ranking in Angie's List. They offered to send someone in three hours! The plumber came at the time we agreed to, did a terrific job, was very cordial and professional and charged us a fair price. I would call this company again in a minute.

He arrived and completed the job within 2 hours from my call -- at a time when the phone is ringing off the hook at their offices (2nd tropical storm in one week!).  On prior occasions they have thawed out frozen pipes, fixed a toilet, and replaced a valve with a pinhole on our radon bubbler unit.  Every time very professional and reliable, also offering advice and in some cases trying to talk through issues over the phone (at no charge) to avoid a callout.  As a died-in-the-wool do-it-yourselfer, I can say these guys are well worth the money.

I got them from Angie's list. They did a good job. It's just very hard for me to know anything of that sump pump whether they are good or not. Seems like its working. I liked their attitude. I thought they were very responsive and reasonable in their attitude relative to plumbers. I think it's a business which really overcharges, but I liked these people. They were very quick to come and this time I was here. When they did the sump pump I wasn't here so I wasn't watching them do it nor did I have a sense of who, what they were doing and so on. This time I was here and they were very good. The guy was a little klutzy and actually as he was repairing the bathroom the entire water came through and they had to help me with that. They had to help me with the insurance company because I never had to be referred and it took me quite a while to get them to do that part of it for some reason, but we did that. Part of the problem is that there was an aspect of this job that they had to snake out things and they did. The sink is still stopped up and they haven't come back. I know they will come back, but that hasn't been done. It's a relatively minor part of the whole thing. It's a big job that involved snaking out a waste line that had been clogged causing the stock up. On the whole, they were very good at prioritizing the work by coming right away and taking care of the initial problem. Then they came back a few days later to finish the job. It's not complete, but that's okay and I haven't paid them yet. It was over $1400 which I thought was an enormous amount of money, particularly since the first job which involved putting a pipe in the ceiling and redirecting the water to the outside of the house. They put in the sump pump digging a whole in the basement and that was $1800. They gave me an estimate on that. They charged their main plumber at a $115 an hour. He was one of these big guys who was kind of slow. He knew what he was doing, but it took him more hours. He wasn't like the sharpest tool in the box and $115 an hour is a lot of money. It was expensive. I would use them again in the future.

We called Ridgefield Plumbing and Heating after my husband had tried twice to fix our dishwasher hose and several other minor plumbing problems. John called back later the same day (a Tuesday) to schedule an appointment--he was polite and knowledgeable and was available to come over by Friday. He and an assistant arrived and made quick but extremely thorough and careful fixes of all our problems. They even put disposable booties over their shoes in order not to dirty our carpet!! John's diagnoses and recommendations were right on the mark. We would definitely use them again.

Ridgefield Plumbing & Heating is good, very good. They come when they say they will. I can't remember the exact bill, but I do know their hourly rate which is the price stated. They were A's all around. I think they're pretty typical of what other plumbers charge. They are really nice guys.
