The two men who installed the kitchen were excellent. Mario is a perfectionist and an excellent tradesman! As in any new/remodeling job there were some glitches, but all were handled with excellent customer service by owner, Wayne. Would highly recommend!

We cannot say enough about the quality and work of Heartwood. From start to finish our experience was top notch ! I had been begging my husband for 10 years to reface. He was a non believer until seeing the work Heartwood did in my mother's kitchen. This was by far the best thing we have done to our home ever ! I feel like I have a brand new kitchen !!! We had custom Martin Cabinets from back in the 70's so our shells were great quality, they were just dark and outdated. Thanks to Heartwood we have a brand new kitchen that we are so proud to show off !!!!! I especially appreciated the attention to detail of the installers, they were simply amazing ! This was a seamless project from start to finish which is rare these days ! I also want to thank the owner as it was refreshing to see that he personally comes out to see the finished product. With the big box stores taking over, this type of attention is beyond appreciated ! Thank you to the whole Heartwood team for making my dream kitchen a reality at a price we could afford !!!!!!!

The Heartwood folks are professional in every way. Communications were very good and they were done when they said they would be done. The workmen are true craftsmen. They can do anything. They keep the area very clean and clean up at the end of each day. I am thrilled with my "new" kitchen and bathrooms. Everyone is impressed by the workmanship.

The job was performed by one technician (Arturro) who arrived on time, worked consistently throughout each day and did a nice job cleaning up after himself before leaving each day. The total job took 5 days, but could have been done in 4 except for change requests that came up during construction. The tech showed great respect for our home and privacy, and kept us well informed each day as to the expected progress and pending next steps in the construction. He also showed great consideration and respect for my wife's chemical sensitivity, and made every effort to apply adhesives and cleaning chemicals to materials outside, and then brought them in the house to minimize fumes. He also ran fans pointing out windows and doors to provide additional exhaust as well. I was skeptical of the apearance of the laminate vs. real wood facing, but it came out great. Extremely pleased with the results.
A couple of watch outs: They only treat the exterior surfaces of the cabinets. The owner is responsible for refinishing the interiors and door jams if you want those to match. Also, they apply the laminate in large sheets, and sometimes the grain will go in opposing directions (on the same cabinet) if you're not specific that you dont want that. I caught it after the first cabinet was done, and it was corrected without any problems.
Had a couple of communication issues with the office and/or sales staff, but the quality and work ethic of the technician still made it worth-while. Other than that, it was a great experience. I spent $6500 on a kitchen that looks like I spent $15K.!

Went well. Some additional cost for extras we added in during construction. 2 carpenters worked as a team, hardly talking to each other. Wasted no time, got here on time. Re- doing the kitchen is a mess. Would not advise people to do this unless they are ready to be displaced for days at a time from their kitchen. Kitchen totally unusable for the duration of construction BUT was well worth it in the end. Our kitchen was very dated, 25 years old and it looks great now.

"All correspondence between Heartwood Cabinet Refacing and the member concerning this job has been reviewed by The Better Business Bureau of Connecticut and posted on the www.CT.BBB.org website. The BBB ruled in the favor of Heartwood Cabinet Refacing. The member has misquoted Heartwood Cabinet Refacing in her review by saying, “Heartwood said we could pay to have it redone and IF they thought it looked better, they may reimburse some of the cost." In a documented letter on the www.CT.BBB.org website our letter to her says, quote, “Heartwood will pay the $1000 ($726 + $274 owed to us) deposit to allow you, the homeowner to buy the tile and contract with a tile installer. Upon completion Heartwood and you, the homeowner, will inspect the tile install to make sure the replacement tile has been installed correctly. Heartwood will pay the remaining $1000 to you, the homeowner, upon the correct installation of identical tile.”"

We could not have been happier with Heartwood Cabinet refacing. They were prompt and courteous, performed excellent quality work, and communicated well along the way.
