Yamil, the owner, and one worker worked for 4 days on our roof, removing and replacing old shingles with 40-year warranty shingles. We also had some of the wood trims covered with white aluminum so we don't have to paint again, and the flashing around the chimney replaced with copper flashing at Yamil's suggestion as there were some water infiltrations through the old flashing.
Work was done to satisfaction and the property was left clean. Grounds and planting were protected during work. We're very happy with the results.
Yamil was able to save us some money by replacing only the plywood that needed to be replaced, and went above and beyond fixing areas that previous roofing companies had butchered. He seems very knowledgeable about roofing (his first trade, from what I understand) and did/fixed a lot of things that we wouldn't have thought about. He also gave us plenty of color options for shingles.

Our roof needed some cosmetic repairs (rotten moldings under roof and front moldings infested with holes from carpenter bees).
Yamil recommended alternate materials (which we wouldn't have thought about) that would be more durable. He replaced all the moldings and covered the wood facade with white aluminum facing to prevent further damage from bees.
While on the roof, he noticed some damage wich could lead to leaks during the winter and repaired them at very little extra cost. He also pointed out some areas that the last people we hire to work on our roof overlooked (or sabotaged). Long story short, we need a new roof... and Norwalk Home Remodelling and Repair will be doing it for us.
As our friends, we were very impressed with the level of cleanliness the house was left in. Last time we had people work on our roof, we had to pick up nails from the lawn/ground for months. Yamil left everything spotless, and even used a metal detector with magnet to look for stray nails and metal pieces.
We learned that although his personal business is new, he's been working as a contractor for over 15 years. Although he specializes in roofing and carpentry, he can do pretty much anything from installing kitchens or new floors to retiling an entire bathroom.
We found his prices to be very competitive and hope they'll stay this way as his business grows.
