"Unfortunately we have no knowledge any any customer complaint or issue regarding our workmanship at this home. We clean the ductwork in thousands of homes each year and have very few is any complaints. When we have had a complaint, we correct the situation immediately."
When we called the company, they said it wasn't their problem, that it was just a coincidence that the unit started leaking right after they worked on it and we needed climb into the attic and fix it ourselves. Our attic is an unfinished area in the eves of house that needs to be accessed by ladder (10 ft ceiling), and the AC unit is the only thing up there. I explained I was going through chemotherapy and climbing into the attic was not an option and they replied that I needed to ask a friend to do it because they weren't coming back.
After repeated calls, one of custom service people admitted that the managers won't even consider sending a team back to fix any issues they cause unless they have another paying job in the area (and they didn't have anything scheduled for our area).
We had to pay someone to clean the rugs, have to fix the water damage in the ceiling and need to have someone fix the unit.
Duct and Vent Cleaning of America just keeps saying it was a coincidence and won't address any of the problems. They said they asked their cleaning crew and the cleaning guys said they didn't make a mess or break anything, and they take the word of their workers over the actual evidence provided by the customer.
A terrible experience!
"We are sorry that [member name removed] feels this way. Lets be clear that we did not clean or work on the air handling unit. We were hired to clean the ductwork. It is possible that the coil in the unit froze that could be from a dirty filter that was not changed. Or perhaps [member name removed] changed or had the filter changed and as a result the drain became a issue that has nothing to do with the duct cleaning. [member name removed] claimed that the drain pan is crushed to our field manager, The location of a drain pan is under or within a air handling unit. We do not understand how our service personnel, could have caused this issue. When [member name removed] turned the unit on the issue showed up.. [member name removed] was called by our Field Service Manager and did not return her call. We attempted to set up a time for our territory manager to go to the house and review our work. Our manger was supposed to meet [member name removed] there on Monday and [member name removed] was not home and has not returned a few more calls from our field manager. According to [member name removed] the system was not in use for sometime before he hired us to clean the ductwork. We are sorry that [member name removed] feels this way."
"We were pleased to perform this work for you. Thank you for the business."
When the salesman called to check on the work I told him I believed it was not done properly, he sent out another team and some "supervisor" to check on their work. The supervisor arrived after the second team had already left and did nothing to actually check the work was performed properly. The second team confirmed the initial work was not done properly and apologized. Frankly it was too little too late. Even the salesman talked me into "sanitizing" an additional service I neither needed or wanted and did not know would be an extra $75.
I would absolutely NOT recommend this company.
"We learned of the customer's dissapointement with our initial services when we called her soon after the project to follow up on our crews performance as we do with every customer. When we learned that she was dissatisfied we immediately set up an appointment to reclean her entire ductwork system. We also involved management and scheduled a supervisor to review our work. The second crew arrived and re-cleaned the entire system. We found and reported a few deficiencies in our original work and will use that information to re-train the Service Coordinator from the first scheduled visit. As a consumer I hope that anyone that reads this appreciates that we as a company absolutely stand behind our work. We are sorry that she does not see this as a reassuring experience considering that we stood behind our work. We understand that this was not a shinning example of our typical performance. Yet, it is also difficult to understand how the customer grades this performance as a D and not atleast a "B" or better."
