EWD REMODELING

A deposit was given October 2014. The contractor informed me the windows would take 6-8 weeks to be delivered. The contract stated the job would be complete by February 28, 2015. After a harsh winter and many unreturned phone calls to the contractor, April 2015 was agreed upon for installation. The original date was postponed due to heavy rain. I was not present when the work was completed at my home. The contractor was aware we had an animal that could not be exposed to stain fumes. He assured me I could stain the trim in the garage and once the windows were installed, the windows could be removed and stained outside of my house. The job was completed, again while I was not present and I came home to five windows installed, with the trim complete but, the frames of the windows are showing and need to be stained while in place. I also observed damage to the bathroom window, on the sill and the bottom of the window. I observed lack of caulking on the kitchen window, which most likely will be damaged with continued rain or typical weather conditions in our area. I took pictures of the damaged window and lack of caulking and e-mailed the contractor requesting a resolution with my problems. After two days and no response, I e-mailed him again, asking him to contact me. I called him the day of the second e-mail and when I announced who I was, he hung up on me. Very unprofessional business. He lacks quality work, manners and quality. Please do not hire this contractor.
