Our new patio is beautiful, and we appreciate the fine craftsmanship that made it possible provided by Arben (Benny) Demiraj and his team from DH & K Construction. This was a rather large project, and it was a challenge for us to visualize how it would come together, as it involved creating a huge patio area with three paths, 10 steps, and 2 long retaining wall sections. We visited a local masonry showroom and selected Nicolock pavers which Benny agreed to work with. Benny came to our house and helped us map out the shape of the new patio and quickly understood what we desired for our paths and walls. This included adding drainage pipes under the patio and under a path to handle two downspouts. We wanted a fire pit near the edge of the patio, and planned on using rocks from our yard, placing them ourselves. Instead, Benny and his team built the fire pit for us using our rocks and cutting each rock to make them fit in a perfect circle. This was a much nicer result than what we had imagined and is now an eye-catching feature. Another requirement we had was to place the patio pavers at a 45-degree angle. Benny explained that this would involve a significant amount of additional cutting of the pavers as well as requiring more pavers for the job and require an additional charge. We found the additional cost to be reasonable and we are thrilled with how the patio looks with angled pavers. Benny’s team did a beautiful job expertly handling all the additional cutting so that everything fit perfectly together. The DH & K Construction crew were meticulous and clearly took pride in their work. Overall, they were professional, hardworking, friendly, neat, and polite. Benny was on site most days to manage the project, resolve any issues and work with his team. He checked in with us on a regular basis to verify we were pleased with the progress and to address any questions we had. It was clear his top priority was to make us happy. We are extremely happy with the result and are enjoying using our new patio. It has transformed our outdoor living space and provides that resort feeling we were hoping for.

We hired Benny and his team last summer to remove an old, cracked and uneven concrete patio in our backyard, and then re-pour the concrete. The work done was flawless, efficient, and communicative. A year later and our concrete patio still looks beautiful.

Benny and his crew are perfect examples of work ethic extraordinaire! We initially hired him to install a new patio and after discussing my back yard drainage problems, they came up with a brilliant plan to divert water away from my home. This crew really aims to please. Prices were very fair. They cleaned up the job site extremely well and even hauled away a bunch of junk that was not part of the job. I would not hesitate to give them an A+ rating and plan to re use in the future.

Excellent work, beautiful patio - extremely detail oriented and hard working team who know concrete and stone work, and care about getting it right. Benny and his company of diligent workers exceeded my expectations with 'fit and finish'. Also they went above and beyond when it came to details and taking up and replanting perennials. They were professional and courteous, even offered to help with couple tiny fixes of other concrete not included in the job. I will hire then again without hesitation! Benny is worth his weight in gold.

In the fall of 2017 I hired DH&K Construction to install 500 square feet of bluestone on top of an old and unattractive cement front porch. I also asked for some minor brick repair and repointing on the house and beneath the porch. Benny and his crew of two men were great. Benny listened to my job description, paid attention to detail and did exactly what we agreed on. This included some very delicate leveling and grading of the bluestone to prevent water from coming in a set of french doors. The job was completed on time (aside from some weather delays) and done well (see pics). During the course of the job, some clowns in the area came by at night and stole about $500 worth of bluestone that the crew had stacked in the front yard. Without any prompting from me, Benny offered to fully cover the cost and did not add a penny to the cost of the job. I thought that was honorable. I would definitely hire DH&K again.

It never even got started.

They gave me a good price that enabled us to stay with concrete instead of lower-cost asphalt. Their solution to drainage problems for the most part works well and seems better than the other proposals we got. Work appears of good quality (ask again in 10 years?). Very satisfied. Problems: at start of job, repeatedly failed to show up when promised. Never knew when they would be working. But for the price and quality, it was worth it.

It went beautifully. I liked the workers, they did a great job. Several of my neighbors actually stopped by to let me know how nice they like the driveway. They had to travel quite a distance to get here but they were punctual. They did a very, very nice job.

On time & one schedule.

Benny is really easy to work with and he had no issue with the permitting process and the entire job was performed in less than a week. They had to pull up all the old sidewalk, dig out all the tree roots that had buckled the old sidewalk, and lay in a bed of gravel. The concrete pour was almost 10 yard of concrete. The finish work was amazing, they did a great job, the cleanup was really good and I am really happy.

FANTASTIC. The guys were wonderful. Job was bid in a timely fashion. Pricing was excellent. Quality of work was great. Job was started on time, progressed quickly and finished on time. No up charges! Clean up was excellent. I would recommend these guys VERY HIGHLY!

Benny and his team did a wonderful job actually, out of our expectation. Our house is on a small hill and for past 15 years, it was the ugliest in our neighborhood. Mainly because we did not have any idea what to do with it. When I shown Benny my idea, he advised me how it could be done and answered any concerns that I have.
