THOROUGHSPECT, LLC
About us
Your home will be inspected & documented w/annotated phots provided to show what has made it in and how including but not limited to water in your basement, mice, bats, flying squirrels. In addition, This will help you understand what needs to be done to stop them from getting inside in the first place and then we can professionally seal it with non-chewable materials. We service lower Fairfield County, CT and parts of Westchester County, NY. Brian’s career in the pest control business began over 25 years ago. He spent three years in the southern United States learning from a world-renowned entomologist (among others) and helped start the Sentricon baiting program for termites with Dow Elanco. Brian advanced through the field to eventually run a major sales force and acquired a distinctive edge in the business. Through this experience, Brian realized he wanted to return to his home state of NY and create his own niche in the rodent control market. He developed a highly successful approach, rejecting the easy but environmentally unsound approach of poison – and instead relying on hard work, common sense, and the correct materials to prevent rodents from entering people’s homes in the first place. Fast forward a few years, and Brian began to realize there were additional niches in this area that needed to be more friendly towards the environment and the clients’ health. He therefore co-invented the Enviroboot® Dust Suppression System to help control the toxic silica dust that is produced when concrete is broken with a jackhammer. The result was a reduction in toxic dust greater than 97% according to the EPA and was awarded the 2006 US EPA CLEAN AIR EXCELLENCE AWARD. Brian M. Sweig has a special set of skills and licenses in NY and CT including Nuisance/Wildlife, Home Improvement, and Home Inspection (CT), Mold Assessment and looks forward to helping make your home a better place for you and your family.

"Hi, I'm happy to be of assistance and thank you for the kind words. Brian"
"Hello, Thanks for allowing me to inspect your home. Thanks Brian"
"This was a fun inspection with nice people. I am glad I could be of assistance Thanks Brian"
"Hello I'm glad I could be of assistance in many ways. Thanks Brian"
A tremendous inspection and terrificly detailed proposal for remediation.
"Hello I spent a few hours on this inspection as it was a tough on and I wanted to make sure the client would not miss a beat on what I was finding. The client was responsive and I really appreciate it when a review is promptly given as I work hard and smart for all my clients. I do hope this work is entrusted to me as I will prove what excellence really is in the service industry. Peace Brian"
Brian demonstrated his caring and creativity with a particularly large opening in the front, by the garage door. He re-did it with new materials and then camouflaged it to blend in with natural stone; a work of art!
Brian is a professional who knows both his craft and how to allay a client"s concerns. It helped that he has a good sense of humor and is easy to talk to.
"Hi I am so glad we could help her out as she is a wonderful lady who deserves to live rodent free. I love my job and when a client becomes a friend ( a good friend) it is even better! Thanks for being a great person and it was my pleasure. Peace Brian"
"Hello My pleasure. Most don't realize that the labeling of the pictures is not normal and customary but I go the extra mile because I Love what I do. I make my living making sure your way of living is rodent free! Best of luck in your new home. Peace Brian"
"Hello, This was a really tough job for some of the nicest folks. These critters were educated (PHD) in the art of being trapped and chased for a long, long time before I came into the picture so it was really difficult. The last rat would walk up to camouflaged traps and turn his head both ways like he was crossing the street carefully and then just walk away. I'm glad we got this house sorted out and they (the [removed member name]) can go back to living rodent free as it will change their lives! Thanks for trusting Thoroughspect with your home, and your family. Peace Brian M. Sweig"
"Hello good people, Nice enough people in a home that had very little repairs in many years so the work quoted was in line with the amount as it should have been. I am a nit picker when I pay for a service so I truly believe in fair critique and as the inspection cost( the service rendered) was 49.00 I believe reviews should be for the service paid for! Thoroughspect does not have a single review that is not pretty spectacular for clients that have actually had work performed and everyone who allows me to inspect their home always appreciates the level this service is performed at. I encourage all who write reviews for Any service provider to keep this in mind as to review a service rendered vs quoted is incorrect. It is with great pride and a big smile that I answer all reviews as I love what I do for families. Living rodent free will change your life! Thanks in advance and I hope to help your family live in a healthier, cleaner environment with the services Thoroughspect " performs""
no more mice!!
"Hello Thanks for the kind words .. Again. Brian"
"Hello all, These are really great clients who really appreciated and were looking forward to living rodent free. Thanks for the kind words and enjoy having your home rodent free Thanks Brian M. Sweig"
"Hello Nice guy with his first home. I wish him the best and hope he is careful so it does not turn out badly. I told him he could email me and pick my brain as we all remember when we were just starting out and could use some extra help Thanks Brian"
"Hello folks, So I reached out to this client as it is a bit of a mystery considering I sent a concise quote, received an email from him saying he wanted to have the work done and then .... Well it is a bit of a mystery after that. Sometimes certain things can't be cured! I hope whomever is reading these responses understands that nothing in life is 100%. I do my very best to keep everyone happy with these initial inspections. In conclusion all of our clients whom we have actually done sealing work for are very happy to live rodent free as it will change your life. Please allow me to inspect your home and judge for yourself. Thanks for reading. Brian M. Sweig"
"Thanks for the opportunity to inspect your home. I can only say that in reference to the quote provided- the more work needed to make your home rodent free then the more the quote would be. This makes perfect sense with any scope of work. Peace Brian M. Sweig"
"Hello, With the weather so darn cold and a few feet of snow I'm glad we were able to get this home rodent free during the winter. There were a few days that were so cold that I was simply drained after work and found a nice warm bed before my evening emails so I did indeed miss a notification or two- no big deal as this client is most happy with the work. If you read the reviews from people who hire Thoroughspect to seal their homes you will see we are at 100% rodent free and proud of it. Many thanks for the nice review Brian Sweig"
Brian also pointed out things that could be potential issues totally unrelated to rodents. Some of these things were dangerous to our health and we are very grateful that he was able to identify the issues. In addition, he was able to provide recommendations for service providers for any issue that came up. The amount of knowledge he has related to homes is so impressive I would like him to write a manual for our house. After the inspection we hired him to seal the house.
There were numerous times throughout the process that I wondered what I was getting for the fee (it is not cheap) but at the end of the day feel that Brian and his team delivered their end of the deal and MORE. I would recommend this company without hesitation to any of my closest friends and family. If you have any type of rodent problem, stop wasting time and call Thoroughspect. You will be happy that you did.
"Wow- Now that is an amazing review. I take a great deal of pride in finding any deficiencies in a home and making sure that the family is safe.( this is a truly wonderful family) I thank you for this most positive review. Brian M. Sweig"
"Hello folks, If you read the other 49 reviews you will see this is so out of character and was fully explained to this client that I had a camera storage card malfunction. I offered to come back out any day( even Sunday) to take new pictures, I guess that was not good enough! I hope this client gives me the opportunity to rectify this situation. Brian M. Sweig"
"Thanks for the praise. I enjoyed finding all the fun stuff. Brian M. Sweig"
M. Sweig is an absolute resource. Thank-you!
"This review is one reason I truly enjoy my line of work. Thanks for the kind (true) words. Brian M. Sweig"
"This client had multiple bids to remediate this problem and chose Thoroughspect due to the knowledge based inspection. I thank you for the "A" rating on the bat exclusion. Thanks Brian M. Sweig"
"We love happy clients Who keep utilizing our services Thanks Brian"
"Hello, This home was built in 1800's so to seal the multitude of critters out is a good sized project and was priced correctly. I aim to rodent proof every home on the planet, but that is not a realistic goal as some are used to an exterminator throwing poison all over the home for a few hundred dollars. My type of clients can and do see the difference between a bandage on a gaping wound and a real and true solution. Best wishes and good luck in the future as he was a nice guy in general Thanks Brian"
"There is nothing better than improving our clients way of living! Thanks Brian"
"This was an interesting project and client- very enjoyable time working here. Thanks Brian"
"Tough work scope but once again 100% successful remediation! Thanks Brian"
