Ernest from Above and Beyond remodelling did a fantastic job. He installed hardwood flooring, painted the kitchen cabinets and painted the entire condo. The workmanship is excellent, his pricing is reasonable and he finished ON TIME! I give Ernest the highest recommendation and have already spoken to him about completing another project.

My experience with Above and Beyond Remodeling was greater than I had hoped for! We originally hired Ernest for the kitchen remodel, which was done on time. The tiling is timeless and beautiful! We loved the work so much we then hired Ernest for two bathrooms, bedroom remodel and a game room project. We added shiplap after the fact and it came out beautifully. Ernest was helpful in picking materials when we presented a general plan but were not sure exactly where to go with it. The thought and knowledge he provided was a great contributing factor to our beautiful home remodel. I highly suggest using Above and Beyond for your home remodeling projects.

Ernest and his team are amazing. It was a big project, house addition and kitchen remodel and they literally went “above and beyond” to accommodate our living situation during the remodel. The pricing was very reasonable, his team moves quickly and they have a great attention to detail. The best contractor and team I’ve worked with and definitely plan to hire again for future projects.

We hired Above & Beyond first to renovate our Master Bath, a year later we hired them a second time to renovate our second full bath as well as to replace 5 windows with new construction windows. We have recommended them to a number of friends that ultimately hired them as well. We selected, and rehired Above & Beyond for 2 key reasons 1. Best Value for our area - Ernest was one of the only reasonably priced contractors that bid on our jobs. We had a friend that recommended him so had confidence in the quality of the job for the price 2. Ernest is responsive. He is very good at answering texts and phone calls in a timely manner. This is very hard to find in a contractor Ernest’s team does good work at a reasonable rate and takes accountability for his work - there was a section of tile that didn’t come out great - no questions asked he had his crew come out and fix to make it right. If you are looking for perfection on the finish work you will have to work closely with Ernest, but as stated above he is very responsive and works with you until you are happy with the job.

It went very well. He was very creative and offering ideas for how to accomplish our renovation. He was always working very hard.

The job took way longer than was promised. My job, while one of the biggest he had, did not get any priority. There were a number of issues with the quality of work done. An expensive stone floor was not properly installed. It is uneven and now cracked as a result. I later found out he had not used the correct underlayment. Doors were not properly installed leading to big gaps that let in air from outside. Ceilings were not properly taped and need to be repaired. He left a messy work site all the time. Parts of my house which he was hired to paint were left unpainted. Windows he installed have cracked. At the time his partner in the business was leaving him and he was having personal problems at home. These issues definitely affected the quality of the work he performed in my home. This was a very expensive project and I am extremely disappointed as he sold himself as a contractor who does excellent work! I would not recommend hiring him for any jobs!!!!

I hired these folks based on the positive reviews on Home Advisor.
They were pleasant and accommodating, but lacked attention to detail. Quality of work in the end was not what I have experienced with other contractors. I would describe it as adequate. This was a messy job and not much care was taken to protect my property...paint drips and blobs of compound on my wood floors were left to dry and be scraped later. Nails were left lying about and protruding from molding and cabinets that had to be removed. Did not seem to have enough drop cloths to adequately protect my floors and those they did have were full of dust... just adding to the mess. The accumulaton of dust dulled the finish. Measurements were off on outlet cut outs and under window leaving a gap the molding did not cover. Drywall cuts were not a tight fit and in some cases the gaps were quite large. All of this was filled with joint compound. Kitchen ceiling drywall was cut crooked leaving large gaps between pieces. These were also filled with compound and now I have a couple of visible seams in the ceiling. We will need to hire someone else to fix them. The paint on my banister was scraped, no apology and no offer to fix. The kitchen sink was hooked up with hot and cold reversed. Asked them to do a side job of painting trim in the rooms. Had to ask them to stop due to drips of paint that now have to be sanded and repainted. They had several jobs going and seemed rushed in trying to get to them all. Seemed to be spread too thin to take time to pay attention to details. All in all the job got done, the price was good, but I would have gladly paid more for exceptional quality.
