Taxel, Dr. Pamela

I see Dr Taxel from time to time, but I haven’t seen almost a year, probably 11 months. I am probably due for an appointment. Her primary service to me is not exactly Endocrinology. I have Osteoporosis and she is more or less specialized in that, but she is in the department of Endocrinology at the hospital. She applies Endocrinology only to the extent that it is an aspect of the Osteoporosis but she is not treating it that way. She is not using any hormone treatment. During my recent checkup I didn’t have any procedure done, she simply looked at my recent blood test, I didn’t have a bone scan, they do that every other year and I am due for it this year. I’m quite pleased with them. There is only one problem that applies generally to all services provided by the health center .They are insane about resisting providing copies of patients records. Usually those are very very slow and they charge 65 cents per page for each copy of anything .So if I want, say copy of my lab report or the doctor notes, I find myself getting a bill after waiting for a month or so before any information comes through and that not Dr. Taxel but any service provided by university of Connecticut health center, they outsource this thing to some company down south and it is a nightmare dealing with them. Medical bills are reasonable and fine.
