I met Steve when he was a subcontractor for another person who was doing work at my house. When I was trying to figure out what to do with my entryway someone suggested hardwood. I knew I wanted something a bit more than plain hardwood and recalled Steve did design work. I called him and he came by and we discussed potential designs. When he came to do the work he made suggestions to enhance the original design concept. Steve is professional as well as creative. The work was done as promised and neatly. It came out fabulous. The walnut looks amazing. I get lots of compliments.

I have an older home in Farmington CT and called Steven Bumpus Designs for a free estimate. The owner, Steven Bumpus, came in very knowledgeable and professional. The area I needed refinished was a living room/ dining room combo of 350 square feet that had an older douglas fir tongue and groove floor that had years of wear and pet damage. Steven and his crew came in and did an amazing job with the sanding. It looked new after they finished! With the 3 coats of oil based finished the end result was an absolutely amazing floor that has completely revived the home. And the prices, at $1.75 per square foot, were unbelievable.
I highly recommend Steven Bumpus Designs to anyone looking for fast reliable work at great prices. They were top notch.
