I was replacing the radiator and belt pulleys in my '95 BMW 525iT and discovered that the alternator needed new bearings -- dealer costs were very high, and aftermarket shops in the area did not have the right unit -- the car had to be back on the road by the end of the day, and I remembered Al's shop -- I called looking for a unit off the shelf, but he suggested rebuilding was a better alternative: highest quality parts, exact match and fit for my car -- I dropped it off at about noon and he called before 4 and it was ready to go --he showed me the old parts without asking and was just a nice guy to work with to boot! Now days so many of our devices are throw-away rather than repair so it's great to know that people like Al are providing rebuild service like this - they also do starters, and lots of heavy equipment, custom/hot rod and racing work.
