Description of Work: I had had my car serviced by Advanced Automotive several times before for routine maintenance; oil changes and minor repairs and service. In July 2013 I asked them to service my car and include all recommended VW maintenance and scheduled service to be sure my car was in good running condition. Their invoice stated that they had checked all the fluid levels including the transmisson fluid level. This turned out not to be the case. Five months later, in mid December, my transmisson failed and I had to have pay close to $4,000.00 for a rebuilt transmission. The replacement of the transmission took close to 3 weeks. They told me the transmission fluid was very dirty and low. I could not understand why or how this happened since they had stated it was checked back in July. Eventually, they admitted they had not checked the transmission fluid and the statement on the invoice was a standard list they included on every repair invoice whether, indeed, they checked the fluid levels or not. I had no choice but to have the repair done and had hoped because they were responsible for the failure of my transmission they would offer a reasonable adjustment to my cost. They offered me nothing to compensate me for the damage that was caused by their false statement including transmission fluid as having been checked. Since then I have found a reliable, honest and excellent repair garage to service my car and I would never recommend anyone take their car to Advanced Automotive.

 + -1 morebeing new to the area, we needed to get a new-to-us car checked out, looked through Angies List and found Advanced. VERY happy with their service. They were clear, detailed what needed to be addressed and the priority in which they needed to be seen to since there were a few things. I got the impression they were being honest and straightforward. We will definitely be back.
Description of Work: We had the parking break repaired, new pads put on and since it was a new-to-us car, had them do a full evaluation.
