We are very pleased with the results of our electric fence. We met with Hal from Freedom Fence as he offered the most flexible meeting times. He was timely and provided us with all the information that we could ask for. Our containment system was professionally installed by Joe who also trained our dog, Daisy, along with his own dog, Roxy. Roxy was a great addition to the training program and the product has proved to be outstanding. Since the installation we have contacted Hal for replacement batteries and for some questions. Each time he responded quickly and our questions were answered efficiently. Thank youFreedom Fence!

Freedom Fence did an excellent job. It was not an easy install due to the layout of the yard with stone walls and hedges in the way. But Hal, the owner, assured me that they could get it done and they certainly did. The team he sent out, Joe and John, worked fast and did exactly what I asked. And Wendy, my border collie mix now has the freedom to roam around the yard in safety.
Initially, I was not sure if the collar was working properly. I called Hal and he said he would make the hour long drive to help me figure out what was wrong. I decided to do one more check and realized that I was doing something wrong, the fence was working properly and I called Hal who was already on his way. His service product is excellent and his service is second to none.
Call Freedom Fence with confidence, they will do the job right and be there to support you in the future.

I saw the promotion. I called the vendor to get a better understanding of what the $99 was for. I was under the impression that the fence cost $99. When Hal arrived he explained that the cost of the fence was $1200. So I declined the service.

I am so happy that we went with this company! We had the fence installed in April. We had used Invisible Fence at our previous home, but I like this product MUCH better for many reasons. They have a better price, are more effective and provide very personal service. Hal is very friendly and professional. He had our fence installed for us within 2 days from when we moved in. He has continued to be helpful whenever I have called with any follow up questions or needs. I recommended Freedom Fence to my brother who lives down the road. They also had Freedom Fence installed and are very happy with it.

After comparing electric dog fence companies, Freedom Fence gave me the best deal as far as technology used and price. Hal, the owner, was great to work with and is a man of his word. I have never had a problem with my fence and it's been over a year. They trained my dog and in one day he knew exactly what his boundaries were and never overstepped them. I had the install done in the winter and when the springtime came they came promptly and buried all of the wire. That was a concern of mine because some of my friends used other companies that delayed coming to bury the wires. These guys are great! I would recommend them to everyone!

Our lab obeyed the fence at first. But like a prior reviewer noted, our dog also started running through the fence. We were told to buy more powerful batteries, which we did. Our dog still ran through the fence.
We decided that the design of this system is flawed, and obviously our dog thought it was "worth the shock" to go ahead and run through. It was also a pain to have to buy special expensive batteries that cannot be bought conveniently at a place like Wal-mart.
So my husband went on-line, did research, and we purchased & installed another fence system (a new dog collar and mounted box, since the in-ground wiring was already there- just had to connect it to the box) that uses AA batteries. We have been completely satisfied with the new system! No more running through the fence. The only good thing about Freedom Fence is the price, much less than Invisible Fence.
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Freedom Fence, since it did not work for our dog.

"I don't understand how a customer who purchased a system in 2004 can send in a poor review in 2013. (member name removed) never called us to request free training, which we offer. Her purchases of batteries were sporadic. The flawed design as stated is the same design we put in for her in 2004. If it was flawed, why didn't she change it or ask us to change it. None of this makes sense 9 years later. The last time that we heard from her was in 2008."

At first the fence worked fine and then dog would run through the fence. After repeated emails and phone calls Hal finally called back and said he didn't like emails, please use the phone. When he finally came to investigate the problem I was told it was probably the battery or the collar. So I had to buy new batteries and a new collar. However, that didn't fix the problem, the dog would still go through the fence. Sometimes the collar would shock the dog when he wasn't near the fence. Hal would come back charge me a service call and never fixed the problem. This was a complete waste of money. The fence doesn't work and Hal did nothing to rectify the problem. I gave up and I'm now looking to hire another company.
I strongly recommend that nobody ever use Freedom Fence. It doesn't work and the client servicing is terrible.
