Jason noticed I was outside doing yard work (we live close to each other apparently), and actually stopped by 3 days early. He's simply a really nice guy. He went up on the roof, looked at the leak that I patched from the inside, and actually finished patching it from the roof. He then walked the whole roof, and pointed out some issues (some of which I knew about, some I didn't).
Here is what makes a great vendor, and what Jason did:
-first, he helped me with the most salient issue, which was the leak.
-after assessing the roof in total, and after my telling him I was interested, he was completely open to talking about ballpark numbers on the spot, regarding replacing the roof. That alone sets apart good business owners and contractors from the shady ones in my opinion.
-he started with the the least expensive option. We're all aware that products range in price and quality, and starting with least expensive, then explaining the benefits of higher quality products is the best way to go, again, in my opinion. That's what Jason did. In his case, he recognized that the location of the property and my intentions with the property wouldn't call for anything but basic, and didn't push anything but what I needed to get a quality product at the best price.
-again, he gave me a ballpark, with the contingency that he had to come back and measure. He did come back, and his assesment was spot on.
All in all, the experience made me want to work with him, which I will. I've done a lot of projects, with a lot of vendors. I'm looking forward to working with Jason.

Everything went great. Came for an initial assessment and came back about a week later to get everything finished up. Texted pictures of all work done. Very prompt and professional.

Very disappointed.  Jason arrived and left within five minutes.  He looked at our roof, said our gutters are totally clean and that nothing is wrong with the roof because it's less than 10 years old.  He never inspected the interior of our home.  We asked for a written summary of the report and he said that's an extra charge.  I mentioned this was little work for $99 and he replied that he only gets $50 and Angie's List takes the rest.  I am going to ask Angie's List for a refund.

Mr. St. Hilaire  arrived on time and was professional from the very start.  He found the cause of the leak and fixed it in no time at all.  The pricing for this small job was fair and we were very happy with the entire experience.  We'll be hiring Mr. St. Hilaire again soon as we have several maintenance projects around the home which need his attention. So glad that we found him here, on Angie's List.

Mr. St. Hilaire was friendly, courteous, punctual, and an excellent craftsman.  Unlike many contractors, he did not try to scramble between two or more jobs, and so leave clients hanging for days or weeks.  He was sensitive to my budget and timing concerns.  I look forward to working with him in the future.

He missed the original appointment because he forgot about it. When he did come a couple of days later he was an hour early, which was rather inconvenient. He replaced a little grout in the bathtub area, which was done fairly well. I paid for 3 hours of work; he spent less than half an hour on the job. He could have freshened up more grout, especially on the floor. Later on, I noticed that there were a couple of areas that still looked moldy. He was a nice, pleasant guy. However, I was not happy with the service I received.

He was great, easily contacted, showed up on time and had all the materials needed for the job. We are very happy with the way it looks

Jason said he would be finished with all repairs within five days, and he finished on time. He always kept us up to date on his progress.  He was personable and honest.

Jason was great to work with.  He was there when he said he would be there and finished the job when he said it would be done.  I will definitely be calling him to do future projects on my 100 year old home.

Jason was on time for all our meetings and came fully prepared with samples. He finished the project in one day and was extremely tidy.  The dumpster was removed the next day and we now have a beautiful new roof!  I live in a one hundred year old home and will be calling Jason soon for another project.

He is extremely neat, very professional, and he cleaned up after himself. He was courteous about taking care of our house. He laid down material, so he would not track dust all over the home. He also hung up sheets from room to to room to make sure he did not ruin the walls. We had no major clean up.
