Vacuum Cleaners
I brought my vacuum in for a free repair estimate (it was working but making a strange noise). I called twice to follow up and get a diagnosis and repair estimate. He was always polite but said he had not yet had the chance to look at my vacuum. He promised to evaluate my vacuum and call me within 3 days. After 5 days I had not heard from him so I returned to the shop to collect my vacuum. He told me that I owed him $40. I was surprised as I had not received a diagnosis, estimate of repair or given my authorization to proceed with the repair! His reply was that he had to pay his bills too. When I told him how I was not pleased with how he conducted his business, he told me to take my vacuum and leave his shop, which is what I did.
