Alex Constuction is a family run business that really caters to the customer. The work performed at my home, a garden wall and installing a veneer stack stone on the foundation, was performed exactly has I envisioned. Alex listened to every thing I wanted done and executed the work beautifully. I have pleanty of work to be done in the future, and will undoubtedly be contacting Alex Construction to help me.

They are extremely neat with new drop cloths, continually work with no breaks, will adjust something if you are not happy. Added more work with a reasonable quote. Very polite and quiet without radios etc. Extremely focused on great quality work!

They were very responsive. I hired them on Monday and they finished the job in two days. They offered to repaint a section at no charge if I decided that I didn't like the color after all. They were very pleasant to deal with.

Hired Alex Construction (Aleksander [Alex] Xhemo) via Home Advisor to repair a water-damaged parquet floor in dressing area which had been damaged by an upstairs neighbor bathroom flooding which came down to my apartment, etc., and while at first glance, they did a very good job and guaranteed their work by saying that I should wait a week before cleaning the parquet floors so as to give the stain time to dry/cure and that I should contact them if I find any imperfections, this later part did not happen. They are not expert in all areas of handyman/contractor work. My co-op provided the parquet wood tiles to replace the damaged ones in the dressing area and I purchased the wood tile glue to be used to glue the new tiles to the cement subfloor. They was supposed to remove/replace all damaged tiles with the ones provided by the building management. Unbeknownst to me, they replaced most of the floor with the new tiles and for whatever reason, re-glued back some of the damaged tiles. I do not understand why they did this as there were more than enough good tiles. Alex reviewed the floor imperfections and agreed to repair the parquet wood tiles. In end, these imperfections were not professionally finished and it looks sloppy. I finally hired another handyman to correct these imperfections. I had initially given Alex Construction a 5 star rating on Home Advisor but went back and revised it to 3.33 stars with a overall star rating as a 1. Home Advisor responded that they would be contacting Alex Construction but did not print my revised review. Again, Alex Xhemo, his brother David and Freddie are lovely people, very polite, professional demeanor and a pleasure to deal with, just not expert in all areas of handyman/contractor work.

A rare gem to find people that are honest, can do almost anything beyond their scope of work, and their quality of work is amazing. They are also priced affordable and they are easy to work with. I trust them and would recommend for small and big jobs.

Alex was great! Aside from the fact that he was extremely fairly priced, he was reliable and worked steadily until the project was done. He showed up when he said he would be there, he worked long days to get the job done and was very neat and clean. I would highly recommend Alex and his crew (his brother and father)! They will definitely be our first phone call the next time we need anything done around the house.
