Dr. Rustgi (he goes by Dr. "R") is the best vet around!  My dog is a 80 lb. Boxer and he doesn't like going to the vet. He is a sweet dog but becomes fearful when going to the vet.  In other words, he's a handful at vet appointments.  Dr. R and his staff handled him very well upon examination. Dr. R is very nice and takes the time to explain the issues and their solutions. My dog also had a gum issue that needed to be addressed in surgery as well. I was present in the back when his team prepped my dog for surgery and they handled my dog with respect and not roughly (unlike another vet I had gone to in the past).  The surgery went smoothly and my dog is recovering very well. There's no pus or swelling around the neuter site. The stitches were neatly done. I also am impressed that they used anesthesia that is appropriate for Boxers. Apparently, anesthesia routinely used with other dogs can mess up a Boxer's heart and Dr. R's team took care not to do that. I've had Boxers for 16 years and Dr. R is the only vet I will take my "babies" to.

Dr. and quot;Rand quot; is an excellent vet! He is professional, friendly, kind to animals, and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed my dog with food allergies and supplied me with a list of foods to avoid giving him. My dog's skin problems have disappeared and he has had no re-occurring skin infections. Dr. and quot;Rand quot;'s prices are very reasonable. Also, he takes the time to explain what is wrong with your pet and what causes it. I highly recommend him.

My cat had a bladder infection. I called at 4:00pm on a Friday
afternoon. They were so kind and helpful. They stayed late so I could
get there and then treated my cat and I like we were old friends. I was
really impressed with the care they provided. I now consider Mountain
Wood Pet Hospital my regular vet.

New to area and so needed to shop around for a new vet to have my dog neutered. Because I need to be budget conscious, I also went to Larimer County Humane Society and paid for a coupon ($55.00 with the additional $133.00 charged by vet) to save a little, so needed to find a vet that would take this in lieu of partial payment.
The Windsor staff person who answered the phone was personable and listened well. The price quoted seemed comparatively reasonable for the services provided and so I made an appointment. Due to a stressful unplanned events, I had to reschedule the appointment the morning of scheduled surgery. The staff person was understanding (helped to keep my stress down) and I appreciated that.
The day of surgery, and quot;Buddyand quot; was given a pre-op exam by Dr. Brown. He was calm, professional, and took the time to answer any questions I had, I appreciated the front office staff and the vet tech as they explained things thoroughly and slowly so I remembered most everything they said, without having to write it down (I'm so not an audio learner).
The most important part to me was Buddy's reaction/response to the experience. Buddy usually trembles from fear in any new situation and this was kept to a minimum - I think due to a mellow office. I felt so confident in the treatment of my do at the end of surgery day that I made an appointment for a non-anesthetic teeth cleaning scheduled for next month.
I strongly recommend the Windsor branch of the Mountain Wood Clinic.

Our Great Dane had not been eating, getting progessively more picky to the point getting him to eat at all was a problem. He's always been picky and stubborn and we initially chalked it up to old age (he's 11). He had been in to see another vet not long ago and the symptoms were mentioned and blood work done, and nothing came of it. But we had grown very concerned and looked up other vets in our area. We opted to try Mountainwood, and they got us in the same day.

DVM Brown saw our dog s and listened to everything, and did a very thorough checkup on our dog. based on suggestions we opted for x-rays to have his heart checked (slight murmer). X-rays showed a good heart, but another potential issue so we took another set which verified a large tumor. DVM Brown brought DVM Rustigi in to consult for a seond opinion. They spent quite a bit of time with us. Given his age, and tumor size and location, we agreed surgery wasn't a good option nor was chemo. We opted for steroid treatment to see how he'd respond, hoping he'd just feel well for a while longer.

He has responded quite well to the steroids, is eating very well and is acting like his old self (loving, more active, and back to some of his bad habits...). We will be putting him on a supplement regime in an attempt to try to put the cancer in remission, or at least slow it down. I am extremely pleased with the entire staff at Mountainwood. They are very knowledgeable, thorough, very much care, and are extremely reasonably priced. We have 3 cats and 2 dogs and will be taking all of them to Mountainwood from now on.

It went very well. Dr Arun Rustgi and his staff were very gentle and had our dog very relaxed before we left. We were not rushed, They took a lot of time discussing what our options were and what they would be doing. They were very thorough and very professional.

Vet was available and caring. Also scolding me (which I deserved) when I didn't remove dew claws in a timely manner. The entire staff was available when I brought all 8 puppies in to be treated. They allowed plenty of time for this and were not rushed. Of course, puppies are awful cute.

I love Arun Rusti. He is welcoming, warm and down to earth. He has just added a new vet, dr. Brown. Arun chatted and examined the first cat then asked if Dr. brown could continue with the examinations. Dr. Brown was just as friendly and approachable as Arun is. We've been taking our animals to Arun for five years aster switching from a very overpriced and terribly unpleasant vet in town. I trust Arun to give me all of the options along with the possible cost. He is a common sense vet who understands that I love my pets, but also don't want to pay a fortune.

Dr. R. met us at his office and spent time listening to what had been happening. He cultured a stool sample to see what bacteria was causing the illness and then prescribed a medication, food, and treatment plan that would help our dog get back on track. She was better in less than a day.

Dr. R. has been a wonderful vet to both of our dogs over the last few years. He is friendly and down-to-earth and is kind to us to and our pets. His rates are reasonable, and he is willing to respond to emergencies that occur outside of office hours. Dr. R. does not charge premium rates for seeing patients outside of office hours. It is very rare for vets to provide emergency service today and Dr. R's willingness to do this reminds me of the small town doc who used to provide such services. He is informed and up-to-date on treatment options and discusses all of them with the us. I have consulted him for various training issues, and he always has a good answer. His insight into the psychology of dogs makes his advice very useful. His staff is very friendly and helpful, too. They always return my phone calls and are kind to our animals. I would recommend Dr. R., his hospital, and the staff to anyone and am glad that we found Mountain Wood Pet Hospital for our pets.

She was approaching the later end of her breed's life expectancy and along with her list of ailments it was apparent that she just didn't feel good any longer. After a long discussion and asking us to take some time, Dr. Rustgi assured us that we were making the best decision for our dog. It was a hard thing to do and Dr. Rustgi made us feel comfortable and so much better about our choice. Some vets in town might have pushed expensive treatments on us or tried to guilt us into spending a lot of money on something, but Arun Rustgi is a down to earth, caring and common sense vet who really keeps what is best for animals AND owners.
