U-Haul Moving & Storage

We will never use U-Haul Moving & Storage again. It was a very negative experience. We paid a certain flat fee. That flat fee was actually the mileage. I ordered a 36-foot moving van in Bridge Port Connecticut and I had to drive up to Westchester County, New York to pick it up. That is an extra hour and twenty minutes drive. That was two days after we have asked for it. I asked for it on a Monday and nothing was available until Wednesday. The closest availability was in Westchester. I had to drive up and get it. That threw off the moving men that I had already contracted with. They were no available. I had to hire some college boys. They broke some furniture. That was a big negative and a big hassle because they wanted to charge me the extra mileage from going to Westchester back to Connecticut. That was totally their fault. The truck broke down en route. They didn't put on the radiator cap and that it's overheated. All the fluids just bubbled out of it. It broke down. We actually ended up to pay for the tow. We have four bedrooms in the house and it's a lot of furniture. We didn't weld the mechanics or do any kind of damage like that. I don't know how to unload and de-pack that truck by myself. When we got here, they wanted to charge us for the extra mileage because we had it for an extra two days because it broke down. It was a very big hassle. I would not use them again.
