Kimball Floral

Sue at Kimball Floral is one of those vendors who GETS IT. To understand what I have to give the context: My wife was traveling in Denver and staying at a hotel on Valentine's Day. I thought it would be no problem to call the hotel on Valentine's Day and have them send up some chocolates and champagne, or some other sort of romantic room gift. But apparently they couldn't (I won't name the hotel to spare them...) So I looked for florists that were close and lucky for me I called Kimball Floral first. Sue does mainly wedding flowers, so already I wasn't her core customer, but she didn't hesitate one second to say that she had flowers in her cooler and she would put something beautiful together. I warned her that I needed someone to deliver them and she said "No problem!" Already I'm hooked. I told her that with the flowers she had I wanted her to put together her best Valentine's bouquet, and that since it was Valentine's Day i was open to spending more on the flowers. You would think that a vendor in her position would take me to the cleaners - and since I was desperate I would have gone. She charged me $30 for a bouquet that would EASILY have gone or over $100 - I buy flowers a lot so I know what things go for. And only a $5 fee. I even told her she was undercharging me and I needed to pay more, but she wouldn't have it. A sort of Valentine's Day gift, and all throughout she had the happiest disposition. If I lived in Denver she would have me for a lifelong customer. If her weddings are anything like my impromptu experience, then everyone should use her.
