In early 2021 we hired Pair-A-Dice (Eric Potts) to remodel two bathrooms. His bid was somewhat higher than two other comparison-bids, but because he was listed on Angie's List with 5 stars at that time, and because of his experience and his promises, we opted to hire Eric. Eric told us up front he would not do the remodel himself, but would use subcontractors to do the work instead. My expectation in hiring him as a general contractor was two-fold: (1) he would bring in quality subcontractors to do the work, and (2) he would monitor the progress of the project for quality and timeliness. - Eric did neither. It took Eric's team approximately 8 months to remodel two small bathrooms. Eric was rarely on site, and refused to do his promised walkthrough after the second bathroom was completed. - The quality of the work that was performed varied depending on which sub was working: some of the work was up to a very high standard, and some was really, really poor. Because Eric was not around to monitor the project I monitored it myself, and I am SO glad I did. There were numerous pieces of poor work that would have been covered up and not discovered until later, long after the workers had moved on. - Eric's estimates were vague, which allowed him to add charges to the final invoice claiming "this or that" work was not covered in the estimate. His final invoice was full of errors, padded with bogus charges and over-charges. Let me give just one example: I asked Eric to build us a new bathroom closet, with a bifold door. In the estimate I was promised a "custom size bifold door". Although our early discussion included this door being white, the color wasn't specifically mentioned in the vague estimate. What I received was a common size 36"x84" door, purchased off the shelf from Home Depot or Lowes for about $80. There was nothing custom about it. It was a DIY bifold door kit, hollow core, unfinished, with all hardware included. What Eric's invoice charged me was $258 to purchase the door (more than 3x what it cost him), $134 for door installation materials ( for which he spent $0.00), and $185 to "prime and paint" the bifold door (which was so VERY poorly done that it had to be taken back to the painter to repaint. BTW: The paint job for the closet door took approximately 3 weeks.) I challenged his billing but he held firm. In the end, I refused to pay his over-charges, and instead paid him for reasonable labor charges and materials that I actually received, plus a 15% markup for supplies. His response? Silence. Because of our experiences, I can not speak well of Pair-A-Dice, and will never recommend him to anyone.

The bathroom looks and performs awesomely. We had a few scheduling conflicts, however Eric and Jerry were responsive and did everything we asked. They were very pleasant to work with. The price was fair and we are happy.

Fantastic! Excellent people performing exceptional quality work.
Description of Work: We hired Eric and his crew to complete a very complex project in a short amount of time. Honestly, he had unrealistic expectations but they exceeded our expectations at every point! We highly recommend without reservation. We’ve hired for additional projects and are telling everyone we know that they must call!!!

I was nervous, I had never hired anyone to do work inside my home before. I was very please that I was "hand held" to make the decisions I wanted. The work was very interesting to watch, they are hard workers, polite and cleaned up after themselves each day. I am happy and will use them again.
Description of Work: I had my main bathroom remodeled with updates.

Eric is very professional. His estimate was very transparent and detailed and every change was put down in writing. Communication was excellent. He takes great pride in his work and makes sure everything is done right. Will definitely contact him again if we ever have another project.
