Bryan has a foreman that is a master craftsman and is the main man for getting it done. Bryan and Randy make a great team. Bryan has decades of experience and has seen every kind of situation in the building trades and Randy is a perfectionist in his trade. If there is any question Randy has ,Bryan will have an answer.I was kept up to date by Randy as to what part of the job would be done first second third.... Things went quite well with such a big undertaking. They both did their best to fulfill any requests if I had any. In the beginning I had a concept of what the final project would include and by Golly it is all there, thanks to the B&R team! I wanted under cabinet lights to just light the granite counter and a light in the pantry that would operate like a refrigerator light. Close the door, the light goes out. I have led lights over the counter on their own switch which makes it nice when I don't want a bright light on and the pantry is hi tec! Bryan asked about my counter which was to be granite. Well, I had some picked out but the company said it would take a week and possibly two to get it finished once the cabinets were set. The stone company would come make a template of the layout, then cut the stone. Well, Bryan was alarmed it would take a so long to get the counter. Well, he is the solution guy! He knows Fernando, a stone mason who has his won business. Fernando made the template, picked up the slab and had the counter back...the very next day! Fernando also has a supply of sinks that are of the best quality, but gives a discount price. I've got a 14 gauge stainless under the counter deep sink I love and all at a very reasonable cost. I had told Bryan I had a in the counter soap dispenser I wanted to have put in. He mentioned the faucet I had bought was brushed nickle and the dispenser I had would not match, but he could be on the look out! He got me a very nice one. I also have an under counter water filter and he got a matching faucet for the counter so all look very nice.I had gotten some supplies from the IKEA store and found though they were cheaper, it is wise to consider that if there is a need for more of some part they have, you will go back to them and only them. Also there may be some things that are not the standard we have in America. The faucet had some kind of funky hook up to the water and Bryan, being the kind of resourceful guy he is, had to go get some adapters and other hookups to make it come together. Bryan also has a wonderful painter that came in and made the walls look like new. I have antique white walls with white electrical fixtures which have a nice contrast. The ceiling is also whit and looks very nice.I had found two light fixtures at a surplus store that the guys used to light the area, one over the sink which worked out very well. The floor was raised about an inch or so with some foundation board and I had a concern with the flooring I wanted to use. I wanted to use the same stuff as I had in my bathroom so it would match. The tile in the bath has a kind of 'kreek, skreek' sound when you walk over it because the other contractor I had for the bath didn't clean under it before he put it down. I didn't want that on the kitchen. Well, Bryan mentioned he could use some parchment paper to go over the foundation board before the tile was put on. Now the floor in the kitchen is absolutely quiet when walking on it.It is plain that Bryan was listening to what I needed and wanted. It is really satisfying to have some one that takes time to understand what you want and really try hard to make it so. Other contractors have a set way they want to do a job and spend lots of time convincing you it is the only way to do things. All in all, Bryan did his work for less than his original estimate which was a nice surprise! I am really happy with my kitchen and with Bryan & Randy!
Description of Work: I needed to remodel my old 50's style kitchen. Bryan was a contact that the cabinet seller sent to see what I had going on. He came over and looked to make sure we were on board with the cabinets we had ordered, that everything would fit. He made several suggestions as to make the kitchen work better. Doors opening in the correct direction for ease of use, different cabinets to make it all work great. My girl friend Cathy and I were so impressed with Bryan and his expertise that I asked if he would submit a bid.Bryan was very up front and now as a contractor he was looking for other things now, not just the cabinet fit and he told me everything he would do and why he would do it a certain way. He was a little higher in his bid, in fact the highest but I was very VERY impressed with the results, see my comments about the final costs! The amount I spent is the TOTAL amount not just what I paid Bryan.
