 + -1 moreWe had an excellent experience on the table/chairs, but the experience with a service call from Greg was what prompted me to take the time to post. Someone in shipping had not tightened a tie-down firmly enough, causing a strip across the front of our hutch to be rubbed shiny (from the soft tie moving in shipment). Greg spent an hour at our house ''re-setting'' the lacquer in the trouble spots. He also ''shimmed'' the piece so it leveled perfectly even when positioned on carpet tack-down strips. He educated us about how the furniture was finished and how/when/why to care for it and what not to do (Pledge=BAD), refinishing (10 years down the road), and when he left, not only was the hutch flawless, but the additional knowledge he shared made us fall more in love with our furniture and Woodley's than we had been when it first arrived!
Description of Work: We got a cherry dining room table, chairs, and dining room hutch in 2 purchases over the last year. Carey Stumm was our salesperson and an absolute expert on wood. He is a low-pressure salesperson and focuses first on making sure you have a baseline understanding about the different woods and implications of choices on style and finish on the longevity of this purchase. We developed a trust in him I rarely experience with commissioned sales people, especially after he made some recommendations that actually reduced our total final cost. We left the first time thinking we couldn't afford this quality point in the market, and after looking at Kacey's and American Furniture Warehouse, etc. (gritting our teeth listening to brand new sales people who knew nothing about the products), we decided that the beauty of the Woodley's caliber of wood and workmanship really was worth the additional cost.
