Concrete Evolutions has expanded beyond installing concrete. The crew repaired our existing irrigation system and installed three new zones to accommodate new landscaping. They designed and prepared beds for new plants on three sides of our house. This involved amending the soil and adding tons of rock and mulch. They also laid down grass in our backyard and made a "Breeze" (crushed rock) patio. As we continue to purchase plants to go in the new beds, they will be back to plant them digging the holes and connecting the plants to the already installed irrigation system. The crew was always pleasant and offered suggestions as together we worked on this project. They made a point to check in with us periodically to make sure we were satisfied. The work that has been performed is substandard and unsafe; the concrete was improperly poured, resulting in dangerous walking conditions. There is also physical damage to our gutters caused during the project. Despite showing us various color options for the concrete, he poured a completely different color without our consent. Furthermore, we received a citation from the city for improperly dumping concrete. The materials dumped were not even from our project but from a separate job down the street. He failed to dispose of our project materials properly and left behind a significant amount of construction debris. To date, we have already paid Mr. Maestas $11,600 of the total $13,200, which included proper cleanup and disposal, yet the job remains incomplete and improperly executed. Yes, there are substantial additional costs due to the incomplete and poorly performed work. We have received quotes from several licensed concrete contractors ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 to remove the defective concrete, repair the damage, and start the project over from scratch. Additionally, while Mr. Maestas and his crew were working, they damaged our sprinkler system, which we had to repair out of pocket for $300, despite the project still being underway. To make matters worse, Mr. Maestas has refused to refund any portion of the $11,600 we have already paid (of the total $13,200), despite the poor workmanship, property damage, and failure to complete the job. As a result, we now have no choice but to pursue legal action in court to recover our money, which will require even more time, energy, and resources.

Joseph and the rest of the Concrete Evolutions team did an amazing job on our patio. We had quite a large space and they made it look amazing and were really quick.

It went great. We agreed on a Thursday the next week and that if something opened up they could start earlier. Sunday night I got a message saying they could start Monday instead. It worked out since we are supposed to get rain and snow Thursday and Friday. It turned out great and my wife is super pumped and shopping for furniture already!!

The company was very fast. I needed a new sidewalk and front step done immediately before an open house tour in just two days and they got it done. It looks very nice.
