CAMPING WORLD

We called for an appointment and waited 2 weeks to get the vehicle in which we expected. Summer is a busy time for these folks. On July 2 we dropped it off. We needed it back July 29 at the latest and thought we would have plenty of time. The woman who checked us in to get the list of things that needed to be done entered into the computer was impatient and condescending. The person who actually looked at the motor home to confirm all that needed to be done was extremely nice however. He went above and beyond to help but he is ultimately not part of the communications process once a repair is ordered. It took a full 2 weeks to even get it into the shop to get the estimate making us wonder what the reason was for an appointment date of July 2. We went down there to have them explain to us the nature of what was to be done as it was to cost $2400. They were impatient and again very condescending and indicated that the technician only had a few moments to talk to us to explain what was to be done and that if we needed more time to approve the work they simply did not have more time for us if we had any more questions. Turns out that they had not understood correctly what was needed and this error would have cost quite a lot if we had not caught the error. They estimated 8-10 hours of work and that took another 7-9 days. Even to get through to find out how far along in the process the motor home was and how close to finishing was impossible. You can only talk with the technician who checked your vehicle in and we would leave a phone number and not receive a call back from her except for one time when in fact she did call us back. After finishing the work they were to get the vehicle to Premier Auto and RV so we could have some issues with a screeching tire looked at. We appreciate that they work with Premier Auto and RV in Falcon to make it easier to get this sort of work done all at once. But by the time they got the vehicle to Premier Auto we had no time to take the vehicle elsewhere to see if their $4400 charge to do wheel bearings and brakes was comparable to others in town. We were leaving on a trip 3 days after they recieved the vehicle and had no time to take it elsewhere. That was not the fault of Premier Auto and RV. They completed their work quite quickly. They had the vehicle for nearly a month and no parts needed to be ordered to complete the job so it was not parts that they were waiting on. They overpromise and definitely under deliver. But they are one of the few places in town to get coach work done on a motor home here in Colorado Springs. We will assess the quality of what was done as time goes on.

Nightmare. Needed new AC unit and they took almost 2 weeks just to get the correct unit ordered. I got very poor communication. Repair was not done when they said it would be done. |They have some garbage added hourly fee to the already outrageous hourly fee they charge. I think it was 10% on top of normal fee for miscellaneous supplies!! |Never gave me any paperwork or warranty cards so when the unit broke again the following year I did not rush to fix it as I figured it had a one year warranty. Just found out after getting it replaced again correctly, that the unit has a two year warranty and could have possibly been covered. My guess is they would have found some reason to not cover it anyway.
