Excellent. They were very professional and the owner is the one that came out and he was very nice. Did not overcharge me.

I went with Excel because they had a similar price to other bidders, but thier quote included a high quality solar attic vent. This was a big plus and represented close to a $400 dollar value at a matching price to the competition. The supervisor/project manager was very personable. He explained everything they would do clearly and in detail and put it all in writing. The shingles used where an above average corning dimensional with an excellent warranty and wind rating. In general I am please with the job done, but there were several less than perfect aspects. Overall the work crew did a good job but I felt the onsite foreman might have paid more attention to details . The installation process was very professional with all the extra ice dams, standard vents and excetera installed fully per code. And they upgraded the furnace vent without upcharge. The only down side was a lack of attention. First the crew backed over plants on the way out the first day, which could easily been avoided if the driver had just paid attention to what he was doing. Second they did some very minor damage to my gutter, which is no big deal other than the gutter was only a week old, and a dented brand new gutter is not new anymore, again a case of lack of attention. Also, during the tear off of the old roof many tar marks were left on my cream colored vinyl sideing on the front facade. I was told this would be cleaned off, but it never was. The third minus was that the Solar fan was installed facing in the wrong direction on an axis facing west instead of south to track the sun. When the supervisor showed up he tried to correct it as much as possible, but there were limits to the amout of correction that could be accomplished at that point without riping out the vent and a course of shingle. Also it was close to 3 months before the inspection took place. Overall I am pleased with the finished product but this could have easily been an A++ job, instead of B grade, if only a little more attention had been maintained by the senior crew member. Please understand, I am very happy with the finished product, I looks beautiful, and I am confident that my home has a well installed high quality roof to protect it. I give the roof itself an A+ grade. But again just a bit more attention to detail by those onsite all day would have made a large difference in overall perception of the project in general.

They did an incredible job. They were a little higher in price but it was worth it. They were quick and did what they said they were going to do. I'm very happy with the outcome of all their work.

We went with a different company. My husband dealt with them and he seemed to be quite fine with them. We got estimates from three roofers and when push came to shove we decided to go with a different one. They were all great. All the salespeople were prompt and knowledgeable. We had kind of a tough time making a decision. More than anything it came down to price. They came out right away. We would absolutely get another quote from them.

I liked everything about them. They were prompt and did what they said they'd do. They're a great company that stands behind what they do. If I had any questions they'd stop and answer all of my questions before continuing. They kept giving me samples and were very patient because I couldn't make up my mind. They were very accomodating.

The was the first homeowners claim I have made in my life (56 years). I was not sure of the process and how the contractor worked with my insurance company. I was surprised how quickly I got my insurance proceeds because I got all of the claim money even before I hired the contractor. The project manager (Paul) did not do a good job of explaining everything to me. I asked on numerous occassions how much the work is going to cost me. He said I would only be paying my deductable and that I was getting the best roofing material in the market. He did not explain that if once they started to remove my old roof that if they found something that needed replacement, I would have to pay for it out of my pocket. Then he said he was going to increase the ventilation in my attic by installing a solar powered attic vent (apparently it was free), increasing the number of eave vents and blocking old vents that are not needed. To make a long story short, the project manager lied on numerous occassions. I have written confirmation that I would not be charged more than the insurance proceeds plus my deductible for the work. Now I have to pay extra for the replacement of some of the decking material. I also didn't get the extra eave vents (Paul denied saying he would do that) or the blocked old vents. I don't know what to believe Paul is going to say next. To make things worse when I was questioning the extra cost Paul told me I shouldn't be concerned about the "trivial" things. I am the customer who needs to be treated like a customer, not be told what is trivial or not. I don't like Paul handled the insurance transaction and how he made sure the numbers matched whatever his company wanted. In addition, the materials were not delivered when scheduled, so I had this crew of roofers laying around in my driveway. They broke a lawn ornament and the replacement that Paul purchased is gawdy. Not a pleasant experience, but Paul will swear he did everything possible to get me the best roof in the world.

Excel installed my roof about 13 years ago. Last year it started leaking and I asked them to come out and see what the problem was. They sent someone out and after checking, they said they'd fixed the leak (no charge). The roof continued to leak. This year (2011) they supposedly sent someone out to look at the roof again but I never saw or talked with anyone. After calling them again, someone came out and looked at the roof and told me there was a real mess up there and they would have to talk with their project manager and get back to me in a couple of days. No one called and no one came out again. The last person I talked with sort of insinuated that I may need a new roof because my (40 year roof) was in bad shape. I ended up calling another company and he looked at the roof and told me what it needed and said he'd be back in the morning to fix it. It was a relatively simple fix and I was very comfortable with his work. Excel just lost a good customer and will receive poor reviews from me to others.

We needed our roof completely replaced and received three bids to have the job done. Excel sent out their project manager promptly and their price was just a bit above the other two bids, however, I was most impressed by their guarantee and the details of the job they were to perform. They obtained the appropriate permits and showed up to do the job in a timely manner. The crew that showed up was tireless, safety conscious and worked with enthusiasm and professionalism during their entire time on the job. The project manager visited the job site and monitored the progress in a professional manner. Cleanup was exceptional as far as the pickup of all material removed from the roof as well as packing material and other debris. Also the project manager, as well as the crew chief cooperated fully with each homeowner request or inquiry concerning the job. At the end of the job the inspector from Lakewood wrote up a minor pitch problem on a small deck overhang. Upon notification, the project manager and Excel rectified the problem in a very reasonable time frame. The inspector was notified by Excel that the job was ready for inspection once again. I would highly recommend Excel Roofing to anyone who wants a great experience with a roofing company.

They were fine. They made it simple for me. They just gave me the offer and asked me to get back to them. I will consider this company in the future.

They came out to the house when scheduled, handled last minute changes with no problems and generally went the extra mile to get the job done right. They cleaned up every day and kept the yard, driveways free of debris etc. Bob's crew was excellent and worked very hard to get the job done quickly and on time.

I am writing this two-years later as I wanted to see how the roof held up after many seasons. Excel roofing was pre-approved by my insurance company and priced the job quite a bit lower than the competition. Keith over promised and under delivered; however, I ended up with a high quality roof at a very good price. The problems I had with Keith were mainly based on promises that weren't delivered on. Keith had promised the following which were above or equal to the features of the other qoutes: 1. add two more vents (7 total) on the roof to increase ventilation. They only installed 5 vents as was originally installed. 2. Said they would use 2"x4" edging, but when the materials showed up, only 2"x2" edging was delivered/used. 3. Offered to apply a extended length of ice/water shield, but as far as I could tell they installed just the standard 36" length. Also, they delivered materials to my roof, sacked on the ridge, but then allowed these heavy materials to sit there for weeks before they started work. I'm not sure if it was this heavy load of materials or the dozen or so workers pounding hammers and throwing heavy packages of shakes around my roof, but I ended up with some cracks in my drywall. So I started to feel a little bit of a sucker for thinking I would get a better deal than the other companies were quoting and ending up with a similar deal. The cracks in my driveway, caused by the material delivery truck weren't appreciated either. All in all though, I ended up with a great roof which was fully covered by the insurance company.

We were very pleased. The work was done in a very timely manner. The foreman was exceptional in his communication skills. We always knew what was happening. They installed the concrete tiles very carefully, well and quickly. We would definitely recommend them. They were very careful to make sure the gutter system was functional and intact.

My overall experience with them was good. They under bid quite a bit. They were on time for the estimate.

They were excellent and I only had to pay the deductible. It was covered by insurance. I didn't have to pay anything until the work was done, which is pretty unusual. One of the roofing tiles was not laying down properly because it was put down when it was a little cool. One of the installers was coming by and checking it. He said that he thought it would lay down when the sun got on it. They followed up on their work and were very easy to work and coordinated everything with our insurance company. I didn't have to do anything.

We got 3 different bids and it was all about the same price. I called my insurance company and they recommended them. We got a lot of good feedback about them. We have a seven year guarantee on the roof with a 40 year guarantee on the shingles. We got a good service from them. The person who gave us the bid was there when they were doing the work. They ripped the whole roof off and cleaned up afterwards. We went to San Hose and when we returned, there were no nails or debris on the ground. I have two little kids and I was concerned. When we came back we had an amazing looking roof. It was really good and we felt pretty fortunate.

I thought they did a fine job in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them. The customer service is excellent. They did really fine work. They did it much quicker than they originally said.

In January 2006 Exel Roofing took off a Permatek roof and installed a shingle roof. That was $9900.00. They did not install any plywood under the shingles and the nails kept popping out. We needed a new roof and their installation guarantee only covers leaking - not negligence or incompetence. So we have to pay $11,000.00 for the new roof (less than 3 years old) because they take no responsibility for doing the job correctly the first time.

The roof has been a problem since wind issues this past spring. We were concerned with leaking this winter. Excel was one of three companies called for estimates. They were prompt in coming out for an estimate, and were willing to negotiate contract terms. Arranged the roof replacement in a timely manner. Kept us up to date on how the procedure was going. Cleaned up after themselves very well and arranged for the Littleton Roofing Inspector to check all the work. All work was done with a minimum of disruption to the household schedule. Everything was done like clockwork.

They tell you the problem and don't make up problems. They said our roof was going to be good for four years. They don't come back to try and charge more every single year. They are straight forward with you. It's not somebody that will be here one day and gone the next.

It turned out really well. They sent me to a supplier for roofing and had me pick out the roof I wanted. Then they sent me to places where they had installed that roof so I could see how it really looked. They showed up on time. They finished on time and did great cleanup. Robert, their sales guy, was great. He followed up with the crew and was on job side a lot making sure it was done right. I would recommend them to others for sure.

I got the original estimate in late winter. I wanted to put the roof on in the spring, during good weather. I was then told the price would be higher in the spring because of rising oil costs. I was assured that they put roofs on all winter and there was no problem. I was told that if there was wind, they wouldn't be up on the roof. I was told they would put the roof on during good weather. Well, they were putting the roof on, it snowed, and later the wind was very strong and they were all up there in the wind, jackets flapping. Tom Wilson was the manager. So now, we have the first real rains of the summer and the roof is leaking. You touch the plaster, it comes off in your hands. We have buckets on the floor. The hardwood floors are warped. There was no emergency number listed, as this happened during the weekend, but I kept my old papers and called the manager's cell phone and got a reply they would be here MONDAY. Today is Saturday, its been leaking since Friday. It is pouring down rain, they can't fix it they say when it is raining although another company said they could fix my roof today, but it would violate my warranty with Excel. This is a nightmare.

Fine job. Prompt response on my request for an estimate. Excellent detail on the estimate, with lots of options. Good communication as to when to expect materials to arrive and when the job would be done. Roof and gutter job only took three days, as promised. Superb work, good cleanup afterward. Only possible complaint is that they could have warned me to expect gut wrenching noise on the day that the roofing crew removed the old cedar shakes; and that on hot days the crew would take a long mid-day break and then work until dark.

They did excellent. I specially appreciated that they helped me prove the damage was done by hail so my insurance would cover some of the expense. A great job all the way. I highly recommend them.

They put on the roof about 5 years ago. I had 2 previous leaks around my solar panel about 2 years ago and they fixed it immediately (it was still under warranty). There was another leak around a solar panel more recently, but I am 2 years out of the warranty. They came over immediately, diagnosed the problem and fixed it without any charge, even though I was outside of the warranty period. Great service!
