The first person who came out got our thermostat to turn on the A/C and furnace. He was very professional. A few days later, the thermostat stopped working again, so I called back and they were able to send someone out just a couple of days later. We fully expected to be charged for at least a service call, but we were not. They were VERY thorough and made sure everything was fixed and it has been working since. We will definitely use them again.

They arrived on time and checked and serviced our furnace, installed a new ball valve above the sprinkler tap. Both men worked efficiently and gave a good report after they'd finished. I would definitely recommend them.

These guys were excellent. I knew what was wrong when I set up the appointment, so they brought out the right equipment and replacement part. They werre on time and did the job within 30 minutes, and cleaned up after themselves, were veryprofessional and polite. They got the job done and were gone. They charged probably 1/2 what I would have paid one of the more well known plumbing companies. I was completely satisfied with my service and I would recommend them anytime!

Bill Smith Plumbing came out twice for the same problem of non-working A/C. The first visit, we told them about the symptom of loud blower for A/C. When the A/C still didn't work, we called them out again. They didn't fix the A/C and told us that we needed to call an electrician. The electrician identified a tripped breaker as the problem. Bill Smith had checked the breaker panel but apparently didn't push the right button. When I called to object to the second service call, I was told that their worker said I'd called just for the blower problem and not for A/C not working. They basically said that their worker was telling the truth and I was not. Although we were a customer who had used Bill Smith for years, it is obvious that they didn't care about future business, only that they not have to return the amount for the second service call. I was told that they would and quot;split the differenceand quot; and return only half the service call charge, not because I was right but because they valued our business. Ha!

After calling the company, Bill Smith Plumbing and Heating Inc., was able to set up an appointment for the next day. I was given a two hour window for the service to be performed. Company called within the window and stated that the plumbers were on their way and would be there shortly. Lou and Mike were the plumbers that showed up for the job. There were several things on the list that needed to be completed. We walked through the various projects then Lou and Mike immediately started to work. Lou worked on removing the unused portion of the gas line, shutting off the line at the meter, performing the job, turned gas line back on and proceeded through the house re-lighting all pilot lights, kitchen, fireplace, hot water heater. During this time Mike installed the water line valve to the front of the house, installing additional copper fittings and attaching it securely to the foundation of the house. Lou completed cleaning out the two drains in the bathrooms and Mike completed the valve install. All work areas were cleaned up after repairs were completed and left in great shape. Both Lou and Mike were: professional ,knowledgeable, customer friendly, while remaining focused on the job at hand. All services were completed in a timely manner, charges were reasonable for work performed. I would highly recommend Bill Smith Plumbing and Heating Inc., along with Lou and Mike. They are going on my favorites list for any work in the future!!!

Excellent service! Plumber explained problems to correct and was very professional and did the work and all problems are fixed! This was a small job and they responded immediately and were on time and we are very pleased with their service.We will definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone that needs a plumber!

They were very quick in providing the service, that was great. The workman who came was not friendly at all. Never introduced himself, never said anything. The job took 30 min. with a $10 part. I thought $150 was high for 30 min. work. I will continue to look for a plumber.

It went really well. They came and took care of my heater. They were punctual, courteous and professional.

Wonderful service from scheduling the appointment to finishing the job. Courteous and polite the whole way through. Thoroughly explained the problem, without making me feel as if I couldn't understand. Also advised on the condition of the subfloor in the bathroom in regards to future problems. Didn't try to upsell anything which is a huge turnoff in my mind. Fixed my leaking toilet quickly and left the bathroom clean and tidy.

It went awful. I called to ask if someone could come to home, check out a leaking toiltet, tell me what needs to be repaired and how much it will cost. The provider just said NO. Just like that. He said that's a service call. If you ask me, that NO SERVICE, at least no customer service.

I've had a low pressure problem with the supply line to my fridge ever since Culligan removed a water purifier I was leasing from them. At first, I thought the problem was with my 15 year old fridge but the problem continued with a fridge I purchased yesterday. When I called Bill Smith Plumbing, Gary took the time to help me diagnose the problem over the phone. He then said he had a crew in the area and offered to send them over to help. They arrived a few minutes later and were able to fix the issue within an hour.Overall, a great experience and I actually have them scheduled to come back out in a few days to help me with another plumbing problem. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Very prompt and courteous service. The estimator went WAY out of his way to determine the cause of the problem including two visits to determine the problem and getting up as high as he could on my roof (3 story steeply pitched roof - ladder wouldn't reach that far, but went as high as he could) and climbing into the attic. He surmised the problem was probably an incorrect dryer vent hood that had either clogged with lint, bird's nest, etc or the and quot;flapperand quot; was not functioning. He recommended I contact a roofer with the right type of ladder and experience to determine if that was actually the problem. As it turned out, the estimator was correct and the roofer confirmed his suspicions with photos showing that the original builder installed the incorrect vent hood that had totally clogged with lint creating an extreme fire hazard. Without the plumbing estimator willing to go out of his way (twice) and the fact that he recommended that I should contact a roofer, he saved me a tremendous amount of money and time. I will DEFINITELY use Bill's Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.

The estimator came to my house on a Friday and we discussed what needed to be done and he took some measurements.  He said that he would email me the estimate in about a week.  After a week passed, having received nothing, I called the company to make sure that they had my correct contact information.  The young woman who I spoke to said that sometimes it takes 10 days, but that I should have the estimate by Monday or Tuesday of the following week.  It has now been over two weeks, and I never heard back from the company.  I ended up finding a different company to do the work.  Total waste of my time - but at least they were pleasant.

Paul called and asked if he could come earlier. That was great as then I had my afternoon freed up. He was efficient, polite, and knowledgeable. I have used this company for many years and will continue to do so. I do recommend them highly. Even the charge was a surprise. The bill was lower than what was quoted over the phone.

First, the provider did repair the valve on the hot water heater appropriately.

However, the provider attempted to fix the bathtub faucet. After at least an hour, the provider stated it was fixed and demonstrated that it worked. But, after they left, I realized that they did not fix the tub, but instead manipulated the faucet to work by pushing down on the stem. The faucet has not worked when operated normally nor were the issues I asked to be repaired performed.

Additionally, the provider made two trips to our house because they did not have the appropriate parts to attempt the repair the first time. I took them more than 16 days to return to our house with the appropriate part. Even though the provider's lack of parts was its fault, the service men charged us a $60 trip charge for both visits.

Overall, I believe the provider's service men just gave up, used a trick to show me that it worked and wanted to get paid so they could go home.

On the first visit, Bill from Bill Smith Plumbing took the apparatus apart and figured out quickly that we needed a replacement part.  He returned in a couple of days with the part, but it turned out that it was not the right one.  He reordered the correct part and was very apologetic.  There was no charge for this visit.  He returned two days later with the correct part, fixed the valve quickly; and the shower has worked perfectly now.

We were very happy with the result of this work and the price for the labor and a fairly expensive part.  We had waited too long to ask for help, so the short delay to get the right part was not a problem.  Bill worked quickly and kept us informed.

We would call Bill Smith Plumbing for any work in the future and have already recommended them to a co-worker.  We can't say enough good things about our experience.

I usually don't take the time to provide feedback unless I've received exceptionally good service, or shamefully bad. I needed to have a garbage disposal changed out. I called several Angies List plumbers. Roy, of Bill Smith plumbing quoted me $60 trip charge & $90/ hour. Mr C Plumbing would do the job for $99, but couldn't do the job this morning.  Since Bill Smith could come today, I booked him, even tho he was almost twice as expensive. The technician was very polite, but he had only just gotten out of school & had been doing plumbing for less than 3 months. He had never seen the flexible type connection on the tailpiece for this (Home Depot)disposer, & could not get the holding ring to work until I suggested he use the one from the old disposer. That inexperience ate up about 15 minutes.

Further, by actual stopwatch, he worked on the disposer for 40 minutes & sat in his van afterwards for 20 minutes talking on his cell & writing the invoice. Further, although I had plumbers putty & nitrile gloves sitting  there on the counter, I was charged for them. In addition, the van left copious oil & transmission fluid spots on my drive. If the vans leak, PLEASE PARK ON STREET!!

Finally, I was charged $120/per hour rather than $90 as discussed with Roy. Final charge was $162( he did give senior discount) rather than $99 from Mr C. The extra $63 does not bother me as much as the realization of having been swindled.
