THE GREAT FRAME UP

I saw this place when I drove by, and since I like to suport local businesses, I went in to ask their prices. They were very friendly and professional and gave me a good impression, so I went back later with five different jobs: a framed picture that needed a new hanging hook, a framed print that needed a new backing, a poster that I wanted matted, a poster (in bad shape) that I wanted rematted and framed, and a set of five postcards that I wanted matted and framed together. The guy ( I wish I could remember his name) worked carefully with me to make sure that he understood what I wanted. He guided me through selection of matting colors and frame colors and styles, making good suggestions as to how to bevel matting and so on, to make it look its best. I left everything in his hands with complete confidence. They called me to tell when everything was ready, and everything looked great. Only one glitch: the order of the postcards, carefully noted in two places on the order, was wrong. I took the framed postcards back and they redid it, quickly and with no charge. I have to admit, I was grumpy to find that after having detailed carefully (twice) the order I wanted the postcards in, they had mixed it up (someone other than the person I worked with had completed the project). It was an inconvenience to go back and forth. However, they handled the glitch quickly and professionally (the final result was perfect), so I give The Great Frame Up top marks. Note: the first guy I talked to directed me to a website where there was a coupon for 10% off my order. Very nice!
