They quoted me a price of $637 to $765 as he said I needed to replace a shower valve. I had my friend look at it and he adjusted the amount of hot water allowed thru the faucet. Took 10 minutes and required no parts.

The office staff was responsive and set appointment, but rescheduled twice which was OK given my schedule and their apparent emergencies. The problem was once the service provider gave me an estimate. He suggested "the best option" for my toilet was a complete rebuild of the toilet and the attachment to the wall for $1300 and that unclogging my slow drain would run $180. I can purchase the exact same toilet for half that amount and surely $180 to improve the drainage in a sink shouldn't cost $180. I found these prices completely outrageous and felt the provider should have suggested I buy a new toilet rather than spend $1300 to rebuild my old one. Would never recommend them to anyone given these prices.

Swan was able to respond same day and provided excellent response. Jon was sent to estimate the job. He quickly identified the leak and professionally described the problem to myself and my elderly parents. The estimate was a bit on the higher end, but the responsiveness made it worth the cost. My dad is in home hospice and Jon recognized the emergency circumstances and obtained approval to perform the work himself instead of having us wait for their field plumbers to arrive. Jon is very skilled and completed the repair within an hour, and he cleaned up everything quickly. He was kind and we wouldn't hesitate calling Swan again.

Drilon showed up on time and located problems. It was not worth fixing 14 year old system that we were not that happy with. He explained how our existing furnace had been poorly/incorrectly installed & how Swan would correct problems. We agreed and within hours Jerry & Jordan were removing our old system. The quality of the work performed was 1st Class! They were very respectful of our home. Spencer came out to test system for the Xcel H E rebate - very informative. We have greatly increased airflow resulting in a major increase in heating & AC performance!!

After another company no-showed, I called Swan Plumbing Heating & Air and scheduled an appointment. Called them a week prior to the scheduled appointment to ask them a question about my furnace and they said they could look at it while they were there for the A/C but would need to schedule "more time" so re-scheduled for the following week. Got a call the morning of the appointment saying they had several "Emergency" calls and one tech was out so they needed to re-schedule my appointment. Very unprofessional.

Tyler was professional and punctual. He explained what was currently the situation with my A/C and furnace. He told me how he was checking to see if the air was the correct temp. and if it wasn't what the findings would mean. Overall, he was educational when I asked questions, cleaned up and was a pleasure to work with. Thank you once again for your great work!!

Jeremi came to unclog a very large clog in my drain and was highly efficient, professional and pleasant. He cleaned up after the job was finished and left the space under my kitchen sink cleaner than before! Thank you Jeremi and SWAN for always helping me out with plumbing, heating and A/C. I HIGHLY recommend this business after being taken advantage of by so many other businesses in the past.

I pay them $14-something a month and that includes yearly maintenance of the furnace and the water heater. It's for $14.50 or "$14-something like that".  They're thorough, courteous, clean cut, they take their shoes off when they come into the house. They explain what they are doing, explain what kind of furnace filter we need to use every month, the maintenance that we need to do, the size of the furnace filter, how you get into the furnace, and just good, all around service. The only improvement that they can do is make it free, but they wouldn't be in business long if they did that! I looked at some other places that do the yearly maintenance on the furnace and it's comparable.

They're awesome because our water heater was leaking and I called to get an estimate the day before and they came out. They said it could go any day because it's so old. I wanted to hold out for a couple more years, but I knew it was about time. The very next day, my husband and I were sitting in the kitchen heard a sound. The water came pouring out. I called them right away. The guy that came out the day before (he was a very nice young guy) and I said, "yep, it went" and he was out maybe within a couple hours with a brand new water heater. He did a very good job. I was very impressed. The cost was more than I thought it would be. They came out when I called him. When we were bailing the water out, they told us what to do and they got a new water heater out very quickly. Then the service was good, he explained what he was doing, he explained everything, he was clean, courteous, knew what he was doing, and he took his shoes off when he came into the house. Overall it was a good experience.

I was quoted $1,165 to $5,554 for a major overhaul clean inspection. I just didn't believe this could be accurate. I checked with neighbors and had another company come and check the blower motor which is okay - check the wheel - which is okay - Scope - and they stayed and cleaned the outside condenser. $129. There is some wearing on things, however, I do not need to purchase $5,554 worth of service. That is 1/2 the cost of a brand new unit. I feel I was taken advantage of and that never feels good.

I saw a value add deal for an $80 furnace/AC tune up. John arrived on time and was professional. Instead of a tune up John inspected the furnace and stated the unit is at the verge of running too hot due to lack of air flow. He said my furnace was installed incorrectly and recommended raising the furnace up so the intake would come from the bottom at a cost of $1195. He also recommended a deep clean of the furnace $285 and Evap Coils $565. He enticed me with a monthly service contract $15/mo to lower the total cost to $1636. Sticker shocked I went online to find the installation instructions to confirm the furnace was installed incorrectly. The instructions stated that the side return air intake was acceptable. I sent an email to Swan questioning this and Andy Swan responded that per the notes in the installation instruction if the unit has more than 1800cfm air flow requirements then the intake hole needs to be on the bottom. I asked how to confirm that my furnace had this requirement and Andy then backtracked saying that he checked with the manufacturer and that my furnace is right at the 1800cfm and that I didn't need the air intake altered. At this point I got more suspicious and decided to get a second opinion. The new contractor quoted a much cheaper price to have the furnace and Evap coils cleaned, and stated the air intake was fine. I informed Andy Swan that a long term trusting relationship was not possible and asked to cancel my monthly contract and to just be charged for the furnace tune up since he didn't work on my air conditioner. I was going to leave things at this figuring I could chalk it up to a difference in opinion, but then I got this response from Andy Swan:

"Mike,If you are merely searching for someone to tell you what you want to hear ( that your furnace is perfect ) then we are not the right company for you. John is one of the sharpest techs around. I guarantee you if your heat exchanger is pulled out of your furnace you will see several dark black burn marks from the furnace getting too hot. This is caused by a lack of airflow. I don't understand why you would even have your furnace looked at in the first place if you are going to argue with someone that is giving you constructive ideas on how to improve the performance of your system. I will cancel your club membership and not charge anything for John's visit yesterday.Good Luck!"

John specifically said that with the camera he did not see any signs of burning on my heat exchanger. Any company that is scared of a second opinion definitely does not appear to be honest. Glad I will not be doing any more business with Swan and glad they did one right thing by not charging me for the service.
