When I called the phone barely rang and I was talking to a real person which means they know something about treating a customer with the respect due a person who is important. Right then is when I decided to give them my business. I've been around mechanical operations and kinda know a little of that sort of operation. I glanced in the shop and saw how clean it all was with the floor coated with white sealer and looking good! The service coordinator took my info and the key. They were to check it out and be certain I needed the gasket and I got a call later that day and I gave them the go ahead. I learned a thing about older Subaru Legacy models assembled here in America. They had used cheaper less robust head gaskets which need them to be replaced in time. Leo's knew all about this and have repaired plenty of these. They did the job in short order and that included everything needing replacement, such as the belts and water pump, radiator etc. This stuff is part of scheduled maintenance and it was time to take care of that. I had given them the car on a Monday, and Wednesday the call came saying it was finished....fast! I actually asked if I could come on Friday to get the car, they are so expedient. True to the 'keep it clean' philosophy displayed by the condition of the shop, the motor is clean enough to eat from. Steam cleaned all around. The car runs well and is good for a few years to go! Thanks Leo!

JP in the front office is great--he explains everything carefully so that I understand it, and offers options. At Leo's it appears that it is policy for them to let you know what's coming up, so you can save money toward it (i.e. "100,000 mile service is due at your next oil change, if you want that."). They check the car from front to back every time you bring it in, and let you know if anything is failing. One time they replaced the tiny light bulb above the license plate for me, for no charge. We once had trouble with one of our cars--the radiator was leaking. They replaced it, but it was still leaking! There was a pinhole in the part they had installed. They replaced this with apologies, quickly and securely.
Every time I take in my '97 Honda, Leo takes it out for the test spin around the block after they are finished, and reports to me, "That's a zippy little car! It's in really good shape!" Well, Leo, you guys are the ones keeping it in good shape! :)
The folks at Leo's, Leo included, are wonderful, caring people who will take good care of your car. I give them my highest recommendation.

I purchased my used Subaru in 2006. Within about 6 months, my transmission started having trouble and was leaking transmission fluid. I was told by the dealership at that time that the transmission would have to be replaced. I managed to keep the car running well as long as I kept transmission fluid in it until late 2011. In late 2011 it began missing gears, was running rougher, and I could not keep ahead of the transmission fluid. It was at that time I started looking through Angie's List for an automotive repair place specializing in transmissions. Leo's was well-rated and fairly close to my house. They also would arrange for a rental car, or drive me back to work.I dropped off my car in early January. I knew the transmission would need to be replaced, so it was not a surprise. I was also not surprised at the price.I was please at how willing to communicate Leo's service manager was. He clearly explained everything. Looking back, I'm not quite sure what the difference was. As a female, I am somewhat used to taking my vehicle for service and feeling taken advantage of by a service center or dealership. I never feel entirely comfortable with what a dealership tells me has to be done on my car.I did not have that feeling at all with Leo's. I asked a lot of questions and they answered every one. They even managed to clearly explain things so I could understand them. They also volunteered information. In addition to telling me what has to be done, they also tell me what may need to be done in the future. They are comfortable with the "wait and see" approach if that is what I want. In discussing what other service may be coming due, the manager volunteered to call previous service providers to find out when I had other services performed. This got a clear timeline of events. Ultimately they also did some minor services like an oil change in addition to the transmission. I was comfortable with everything.

It went well. Since we are regular customers, Leo's keeps a running list of items to eventually be corrected & they know your vehicle. This is probably why they didn't charge for these services.

I really like this company, and I would recommend it to anybody. He works on my car and my wife's car also. My wife has a Subaru, and he always does a great job. He is a very reliable guy, answers calls quickly and returns them on time. He did a phenomenal job tuning up my 4 Runners.
