From the very start, you could tell the service writers and technicians were extremely knowledgeable about the entire vehicle. I immediately knew that my car was in good hands. When I picked up my car, it actually was LESS than I was quoted. It's so hard to find an honest auto shop nowadays. I'm extremely impressed by the customer service, professionalism, and quality of work from the Hotchkiss Auto team. I can not recommend them enough!!

Description of Work: Top notch work done by high-caliber people. This is a rare find: an honest, fair, friendly repair shop. I have an older vehicle with 276,000 miles on the odometer. It has been registered in five states and been under the knife at no fewer than 10 shops since I bought it in 2003. This shop is by far the |best.

 + -1 moreDoing business with Dave and his people is always a pleasure! They take the time to explain what needs to be done and why; and then give you options. Dave has been wrenching a long time and knows what he is doing. Here is the kicker-- they don't always push the most expensive option and I have NEVER been up sold on something that was not needed. They are also fair and truthful about hours charged; which is a rarity in today's auto repair world. Lastly I have NO reservations about referring Hotchkiss to family and friends because I know they will be treated well.

Description of Work: My first experience with Hotchkiss was fantastic. My Subaru smelled like gas and they found the problem and gave a very fair quote. They even added brake fluid to my car at no extra cost. I found myself a new auto shop!

 + -1 moreMy Subaru Outback just had another great service with the folks at Hotchkiss. We were in for a routine oil change last week when the mechanic noticed that the lights for my rear license plate were not working. I was able to make an second appointment (that fit my schedule) to look into the problem and the garage was able to make the repairs quickly and for a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: Oil change and repair of electrical connections leading to rear license plate lights.

 + -1 moreIt went well enough. The did the job that was expected of them. I would say the only reason I gave them a "C" for price is because I found they weren't any better or worse than anyone else. They came recommended by a friend, and I thought they did a good job. I just wouldn't say they are the best "bang for your buck" or anything like that. They weren't overpriced, but they weren't cheap either. I would say they were normal, but hey, finding a place that will do what's expected of them can be hard to find. For that, I give them an "A". Thanks Hotchkiss.
Description of Work: I had a problem with my axle/wheel hub (something along those lines) and they fixed it right up!

 + -1 moreI was quoted a price by the dealership and also Tires Plus of over $1700. Hotchkiss did the same service for $800 less. They appeared to be very competent and were very pleasant to deal with. They are definitely my go to place for auto service in the Denver area.
Description of Work: I needed the timing belt replaced on my 2004 Acura TL. It is also recommended to replace the water pump at the same time.

 + -1 moreI was faced with what I thought was a very expensive endeavor, I only joined Angie's List yesterday and it paid off with dividends right away. Hotchkiss treated me right and I'll definely be back, Thank so much Angie. As a fellow business owner I applaud them for their professionalism, integrity, and the American example of how to treat customers.
Description of Work: There was a noise in my front suspension and I thought that this was going to be very expensive on a high end car like a Mercedes Benz S500. They found the problem, gave me an estimate and found that they could do it for about 50% less than quoted. They were pleasant, efficient, honest, and I am very pleased. I will recommend them to all of my family and friends. Angie's List and Hotchkiss ROCKS!

 + -1 moreOther than the wait to get in (3 days before I could get an appointment) - I was very happy with my experience. Checking in on the morning of the appointment I met the owner who was very friendly and introduced me to some other staff members. The repairs were all handled quickly and cheaply. I'll definitely be back to use them again for any other auto repairs.
Description of Work: 3 minor issues on my car - a 'check ABS' light, the door not closing properly and the bumper was a little mis-aligned.

 + -1 moreThey were very concientious about communicating with me as the problem was diagnosed and the repair was accomplished. I was impressed by the fact that they didn't try to ding me for the time it took to work out the problem and while the replacement part (the filler tube) was expensive, their charges were very reasonable.
Description of Work: I brought my truck in for what I thought was a fuel leak that was causing it not to start. While I did have a leak in the filler tube to the gas tank; they ckd fuel flow and found it good. Turned out the problem was a bad terminal cnx at the battery and the replaced it for $27.00 total. We then set an appointment the following week to have the tube replaced.

 + -1 moreThey came referred to me by one of my neighbors, and now after 3 years I share his opinion that they are very honest and economical. They have never over-sold us on anything. They have made good, effective repairs. If I had anything bad to say it would be selfish in that they are very popular. In other words, they are so good that they have a lot of customers and are sometimes booked a week out. They always communicate well and call to tell you when your car is ready to come home.
Description of Work: Hotchkiss Auto Repair takes care of our auto servicing. The last time I was there, they replaced extension parts in one of our automobiles. I have had them do more extensive work too.
