When I travel, I hire a service to come to my home to take care of the cat. I've been using this company for years and I feel very comfortable in leaving the care of my cat to Petwatchers. In addition to pet care they will also bring in your mail and water your plants. (At least these are the other services that I have used.) At the end of each trip, they provide a status report as to the well being of your pet.
