The company wanted me to buy a service plan which only included 20% off parts for three years and they wanted to do 800 dollars of repairs above the 300 I already paid. I asked to contacted about a new air conditioner, but I don't believe the company sells anything but service contracts. The gentleman that worked on the unit was very knowledgeable, polite and gave me a free checkup for next year. The only thing was he forgot to turn on my breaker and I had to go out and figure out why it didn't work, when the fan was working.

Two major problems were found and also discovered that the new furnace that had been installed in 2009, was an older one, 2003. The company that installed my furnace/AC is no longer in Colo. Springs. There were a few hiccups with a part but all in all, the work seemed to be well done.

It was great. They did a wonderful job and spent a long time here. I thought it would just be a quick check and off they'd go. They did a very thorough job. They rinsed out the part that sits outside on the concrete slab. I can't remember what it's called. They did a great job. They said that I might consider cleaning the drum that spins around that runs both the furnace and air conditioner but I didn't think that was necessary right then. They said it wasn't imperative. I wasn't going to spend $290 on something that wasn't imperative.

They did not even show up. When I called I was told the technician was sick. Nobody even bothered to call. I scheduled again for another 2 hour window. They called back and said nobody was going to be able to make it at all. What a joke. I took a whole day off and wasted it. When talking to them they kept passing the blame.

On 5/17 we scheduled you for 5/22 for a tune-up for a discounted price for a time frame of 12-2. We attempted to contact you at 10:32, and again at 12:31 the day of the appointment. We received a phone call back at 12:35, and it was at this time we were able to convey to you that the technician that was coming to your home had called in sick for that day, that we would like to offer to perform the service for you for free on the next available day that you had available, even on a Saturday if needed. Immediately it was decided and noted that you didn't care, and that you would be posting reivews online. Unfortunately technicians do get sick on occasions, or have other family emergencies and we cannot control these situations. When scheduling appointments with customers for a seasonal tune up we don't expect people to take time off of work for our arrivals. We have extended service hours to accomidate the working communities including evening and Saturday appointments available.

I use them all the time. It was a little pricey. I think they provide a high quality service, but it's expensive. Their quality is very good, if it's not right, they'll make it right. They've been pretty good with their responsiveness. Sometimes they can run late, but I think it's kind of the nature of their job, but I can't hold that against them. They're professional.

I am very dissatisfied with the AC install and duct re-work The Heat Depot did for me. The messed up the install job and had two come out two extra times (at my request) just to get the AC functioning correctly. The vent they installed in my kitchen blew up through the wall and into the attic instead of blowing air into the kitchen. They left A LOT of trash in my crawl space that was left over duct work and other unused materials from the A/C install. They broke the light in my crawl space (twice) and left it that way (twice). The light still does not work. They did not respond when I emailed them through their website and told them all of the problems with the install. The guy that did my quote, in retrospect, did not have the knowledge necessary to know how to fix the issue with my house heating unevenly (though he guaranteed me his solution would solve the problem). I told the company I wanted the work permitted and inspected and their bid included getting it permitted, yet it appears they never pulled a permit with the city, and it’s now 6 weeks after the initial install and they STILL have not schedule an inspection with the City Building inspector, despite me calling them more than 5 times urging them to get it done (they never call me to update me, I have to call them each time). It turns out there is some issue with the Heat Depot’s business license to do business in my city. The city will not allow the Heat Depot to schedule inspections or pull permits (they have had this problem for at least that last 6 weeks, maybe much longer). I asked the office, and the install technician not to charge my credit card (other than the deposit I had already paid) until they completed the A/C install and had it functioning correctly. The office said they would have the owner call me to discuss. Instead they went ahead and charged my card before the work was complete, without even telling me. As a result of this I almost paid a second time! The woman at the Heat Depot who I was to pay was unaware (as I was) that they had already charge my card without my consent. Also, when they charged my card, they mistaken overcharged my card by $300 (and later refunded $300 at my request). They ignored my request to have a supervisor visit to confirm the install was correctly done after their third attempt to get it right. Instead of the owner calling me to find out what all the problems were about, he emailed me. The email was not apologetic, nor did it ask he ask me how my experience with the company had been (he assumed he knew everything already). The email came off as a bit insulting after all of the problems I had with the company. And now to top it all off, and what is prompting me to leave this review, I saw today they posted pictures of my house on Facebook to promote their business. Save you time and money and pick a different company! The only positive thing I have to say is the installer technician was proactive to getting back to my house and getting the job fixed. But the owner seemed to care less of all the problems I had and am still having regarding getting an inspection scheduled.

The technician was very professional and courteous. He did an excellent job of checking over the AC and cleaning it. He then checked the blower motor (BM) on the furnace as it is used for the AC. He found some issues with it, and of course he offered a preventative maintenance plan that would also cover the repairs he suggested. However, when I said I needed to think about it, he did push to at least replace the blower motor capacitor that was a little out of tolerance. I accepted that but later found out a local place would charge $45 less to replace the capacitor. Also, the local place claims a new blower motor comes with a capacitor. All in all, the technician really didn't push really hard to sell something, but I feel I wasn't really given all the various options. I am now considering replacing the furnace which he said if I went through Heat Depot, he would credit me the cost of the capacitor. But if I go with someone else, where I can get a discount through Costco, then I am out the cost of that capacitor replacement. So, shame on me for not thinking it through clearly.

The Heat Depot team is amazing from sales to the techs. They were fast, neat and extremely helpful. We couldn't figure out why the duct work was emitting a loud whistling noise and the team was able to find the cause and stop it. We didn't think they were trying to sell us anything beyond what we needed and explained everything that needed to be done. We also got a great price to replace our a/c which had a refrigerant that was going to be phased out in the next two years.

The guy was such a jerk. He came in and just basically walked in without introducing himself. I told him what I needed and showed him the furnace. When I asked questions about what he was doing, about my furnace, or prices on anything he treated me like I was a complete idiot. He quoted me $1700 for 3 parts and the fan to be cleaned. Right before he left my husband walked in. He introduced himself and asked my husband if he had any questions about anything and he would be happy to go over what he did. I handed him MY credit card and he handed it to my husband to sign. I couldn't believe it. Its ok Amazon saved the day and I spent $180 on parts and an hour cleaning the fan and now everything works fine.

When we discussed our displeasure with the HIGH gas leak in the house for 30+ days per the inspector and the risks related to that with Heat Depot they stated "When you told us we came out and fixed it". Attempted to explain that that was not the point, if the gas line was correctly installed in the first place then we would not had a leak for 30 days, as Heat Depot did not arrange for any inspections of the furnace/AC unit until I called after 30 days and asked when they were going to have the units inspected. We asked to talk to the owner of Heat Depot and the office manager stated NO they do not do that, and I stated then the owners are refusing to talk to us. The office manager stated "They have me handle the day to day operations. I would NOT RECOMMEND anyone use there services.
Description of Work: We had a $9,000.00 Furnace and AC unit installed to replace the old furnace. Day 2 the furnace failed to work and techs had to be called. Electrical panel on the furnace was installed incorrectly. Heat Depot did not arrange to have the inspections to check the gas line/propane or electrical completed by the city. We had to do that and when the gas line/propane inspector came out he stated "gas line was only finger tight, HIGH amounts of gas leaking into the house for 30+ days. Inspection failed. Electrical did not come out for agreed date for inspection. The tech who sold us the new unit (furnace/AC) stated "5 year warranty for the furnace and 3 years for the AC". We continued to have multiple problems with the furnace/humidifier/electrical and Heat Depot office manager agreed to extend our warranty for 2 years and we said so this will be a 7 year warranty and she stated "no we only give 3 year warranties for furnaces", "I do not know about the tech offering you a 5 year warranty to start". Asked to speak with the owner of Heat Depot to discussion or concerns and there lack of fixing things or poor response time. The instruction manual for the thermostat was in a foreign language and apparently they did not seem to notice that when we were given it. We asked for a manual in English and instead of getting a manual like you normally receive we got 75 pages that were printed out from a computer. NOT good customer service.

The installation of your equipment was on 2/01/2017, and we did have a few issues relating to the startup which we responded to promptly and resolved these issues. Inspection was setup for 2/24/2017, and the inspector noted that the fittings on the gas lines were not proper. We do not find anything in the inspection report to state there was gas leaking from both ends. Again, this was immediately remedied. It is very common for inspections to happen a few weeks after installation, due to customer scheduling and city scheduling. To us, it is more important that the job is completed correctly and our customers are happy with our work, and follow up. The Warranty of your equipment assuming that it was registered with the manufacturer is 10 Year Parts for all parts in the system, The compressor has a lifetime replacement warranty, and the heat exchanger has a lifetime replacement warranty. You were given a 3 year service agreement with the purchase of the equipment, and the office gave you an additional 2 years of services based on the original issues. So you currently have 5 years of our preventative maintenance program, which we will come to your home every 6 months, clean and check the functionality of the equipment, and ensure that everything is working as it should. This is a service agreement, not to be confused with warranty. We also provided you a 3 year warranty for Labor, which we will also increase to 5 years total. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the office to discuss. Again, we thank you for your business, and for the opportunity to make it right.

This is the second time that I have use The Heat Depot. They do quality work and are very professional. The technician who came to my home was very friendly and professional. He was kind, courteous and considerate of our home. He also was very informative and gave me lots of information about my system and its health. He made a few recommendations, but nothing over the top. He ever gave me advice on how to perform maintenance on a few minor issues to prevent the large expense of paying a technician. I truly appreciated that. The Heat Depot does good work and I highly recommend them.

They were late, but that is understandable. Be careful, this appears to be a tag team effort. The technician get into the house and did a great job cleaning and evaluating performance of the furnace. But there were a few amperages and pressures out by more than 10% of tolerance. This was deemed critical and a Senior Technician was called. The Senior installs new furnaces. He recommended a new furnace ASAP and provided a quote. I stated I always get more than one quote and he immediately requested a new capacitor for one furnace motor. I am OK with that, as these charge controllers are very necessary. The part was installed and I was charged $200. The part is work $10. OK, installation maybe $50 but they are already there. So, a 1500% price increase left a very very bad taste in my mouth.
Description of Work: I hired Heat Depot to do an annual cleaning and assessment of furnace and AC. The work is typically $150 to $200. This was a $100 promotional offer.
