FITNESS SYSTEMS INC

We ultimately went to this business after looking at the bigger chain stores but were not convinced of the quality of equipment.  The store is conveniently located and they seem to have a good variety to choose from---from fitness center quality to just in-home.  You can also get on the machines and try them out to make sure they are suitable for you; the quality of equipment appeared to be excellent.  The staff member, I believe his name was Scott, we spoke with was very knowledgeable about the equipment and he took the time to get to know my wants and needs.  We ended up buying two machines from the business, however, they had to order both pieces as they didn't have them in-stock.  We left the business, after spending what I would say is a significant amount of money for two pieces of equipment with assurances that Scott would personally call and follow-up with us to let us know when the pieces came in and when they could be delivered.  Three to four weeks passed without any communication and my wife finally ended up calling the business.  Ultimately, no one could give us any delivery dates upon our initial inquiry and we ended up having to call back at least twice ourselves (vs. them calling us) to follow-up again after approximately two more weeks.  My wife finally got another staff member to help her and within a business day, she called us back and told us when the equipment pieces would be delivered.  The delivery went very smooth and the movers helped orient my wife to the machines.  Overall, I would say the customer service was not commensurate with the money we spent, price was average and quality of equipment was excellent (zero issues in over year).
