Property Management
The company did find a tenant for my property. But the company did not allow me to have ANY SAY in who they select as a tenant, a detail they failed to communicate to me up front.
In my case, they told me they had many people interested in renting my house, and that they signed a lease with a family of 4: 2 adults and 2 children. When I expressed concern about having that many people in my small house, they told me that just by saying this I was violating Fair Housing laws (could be true, but we had had no such discussion up front--being a new landlord, I had no way of knowing this was the case) and if I didn't go along with their selection they would PROVIDE MY CONTACT INFORMATION TO THE TENANTS SO THAT THEY COULD SUE ME. Falcon Properties had nothing to gain if I were sued. And, clearly, they were willing to violate their profession's code of ethics (protecting client and tenant privacy) to do this. I immediately said I was terminating my contract and had decided not to rent the property. They sent me a bill claiming the contract stipulated that even if the property was not rented, I was subject to a $500 payment for their effort. Check their web site: they contract CONTAINS NO SUCH STATEMENT. They added that I should retain legal representation. Threats, rudeness, violation of my privacy. All because I opted not to use their services.
I asked them to pick up their sign and drop off my key. They did not. I drove to their office on a Sunday to deliver their sign with a note saying, again, to return my key. Again they did not. I asked again. After a few more days of not receiving my key back, they said they would be coming for the sign and it better be available (I had dropped off the sign several days before) I then told them they need not bother with the key, as I had changed the locks, an expense I would charge them for. They then said they hadn't returned the key because I failed to specify whether to send it or drop it off and insisted, "there's no way you will get that money."
This company seems fine when they stand to make money but seem to get angry and vindictive if you expect them to behave professionally, respectfully, and ethically. Thank goodness I did not continue to let them manage my property.

Advise to everyone: never let this company manage your property! They are not trustworthy!
