Ciezki, Dr. M. Elizabeth

Removing a gall bladder should be a very simple operation.  I had it done myself.  But when Dr. Ciezki removed my mother's, she didn't notice that Mom had an extra valve connecting her gall bladder to her liver.  I was told by another doctor that one in a hundred people have this.  10% is not that small a number, so Dr. Ciezki should have checked for it.  She didn't, and as a result, my mother had bile draining into her body for a couple of weeks.  She became so weak and ill that we had to take her back to the hospital and have the bile removed.  That triggered congestive heart failure and her condition became worse and worse until she finally died.  I consider Dr. Ciezki responsible for my mother's death. 

I never met the woman, either.  At no time did she call or stop by to see how my mother was doing.  This was gross negligence on her part, and shoddy customer care.  Even the other doctors and nurses were appalled.  I want to warn everyone else so they don't go through what my mother did.
