Went on Saturday 11/19/16 to look for a dining room set. Everyone was professional, friendly and helpful. Every once in a while our sales woman would ask us if we needed any help and was not pressuring us to buy anything. We purchased our things and got everything delivered on Monday morning. They gave us a time frame of between 815 and 1045. They arrived at 8:15, moved everything in, assembled it and we were left with a beautiful room.

When the delivery team showed up, we advised the first man who came in, of what needed to be done. He seemed to have no problem, so I left and took my step daughter to a doctor's appointment. After I left, the other man came in, and when he was advised by his partner of what took place, he immediately objected saying that they don't move furniture and that they didn't have time. Initially, because my step daughter's old bed was still in the room, they threatened to cancel the delivery, After a long squabble with a customer service manager, they agreed to go ahead with the delivery; they accepted $40 cash for the extra work(both bedrooms are adjacent to the living room, and about 15 feet apart. They disassembled my step daughter's bed, and stood it up in the living room; when they went into the other bedroom to break down the father's bed they insisted it was infested with bed bugs, and that they couldn't take it. The fact is that the bed has no bed bugs; I've arranged for a professional bed bug inspection tomorrow to verify it. If they find even the sign of a single tiny bed bug, I'll rescind this poor review. In the end, they left the daughter's original bed standing up in the living room. They left the allegedly infested bed where it was. I have the pictures they took... they aren't even bugs; they're just little pieces of dust or dirt. They did however, have no problem keeping the $40 they were paid for the work. When I called AWH customer service later, they said they couldn't help me and initially offered no solution, other than to say the men were "senior" delivery drivers, would never do such a thing. After much arguing and scolding they did offer to refund the delivery price. (no offer to give back the $40). I guess that's something, but it left one disabled elderly man with diabetes bad knees and a bad back without a decent bed (It was left standing in the living room) I am of the opinion that the delivery people took advantage of disabled customer, sharked him out of $40, and then left without doing all they were paid for.
Description of Work: After we purchased an adjustable bed for my step daughter Saturday and asked that it be delivered today. She is having surgery tomorrow, and needed the bed for her convalescence. Our sales person was fantastic, and assisted us with everything. Since my step daughter and her father are both totally disabled, we requested they break down the father's bed and take it back to the store; we asked in addition that they break down the by step daughter's original bed and set it up in the father's room; We were told at the store that this was no problem, but would cost extra; we paid cash for the furniture and advised them that money was not an object. The sales contract has a check box which states: "I understand that the rooms must be ready for delivery and that there would be an additional charge to move existing furniture." It was checked.

I ordered a living room set back in January from the AFW showroom on Chesnut Street. Customer Service at the showroom was excellent! Aloha Dave was my salesman and he walked me through every step of the way, even providing advice on area rugs to match my set. He was not pushy, but cheerful and helpful. I will definitely be looking for him on my next furniture purchase. Additionally, when the set was delivered, the drivers were VERY punctual and professional. They were careful not to damage any walls or floors or door frames on their way in, and set the entire set up for me very quickly. I love doing business with AFW!

Today we bought a new bed frame from AFW. Our experience was OK. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by at least 2 people at the door. Moving back to the bed area you are again greeted by at least 2 more people and asked if you can be helped. After arriving at the back of the store in the bedroom section there is a whole plethora of people waiting to help you. The staff is extremely helpful and willing to explain any of the furniture. Quite a few of the bed frames are nothing more than press board with wood verniers. It is very important to ask what it is made out of. After finally finding one that is solid pine and deciding that it was the one we liked we decided to make a purchase. The associate that helped us, Russ, was amazing. Very polite and friendly. Even though the price was a little higher than we wanted we are still happy with our purchase.
