+ -1 moreHe "forgot" the first appointment but did show up the second time he said he would, and looked at the work needed. He said he'd email a quote. Never heard from him again. No quote, no call saying he lost the email address -- nada! I don't know if his work is good or not but I do know I'm disappointed that he didn't follow through.
Description of Work: None! Although he probably could have.

+ 7 moreAs you can surmise, we are extremely pleased with the finished project, and consider Jose to be a great friend. We wholeheartedly recommend him for any work that you need done around your home.
Description of Work: Jose Villaruel holds a General Contractors license, thus allowing him to build homes, yet no job is to small. Because Jose knows who to call for every job that needs done. We have had the following working done in the last few months: 1. Tear off of roofing on a house that is over 100 years old. Removed 2 layers of 100 year old shake shingles and 3 layers of asphalt. Structurally repaired roof and supporting infrastructure, added underlayment, and then did a beautiful job of replacing the shingles, flashing, soffet and fascia, and all gutters and downspouts. Painted all soffet and fascia. 2. Repaired the under stucco which amounts to three layers of stucco and then added 1/2 understucco and 1/4 inch color. The house looks like a different building entirely! He is also of the highest character. As a general contractor, he has a rolodex full of the numbers of experts which he can call on to perform every sub-job that needs to be done in an expert and professional manner.

+ -1 moreI decided to take action on the broken fence after the neighbor's dog came into the back yard and chased one of my cats around. Jose came out as soon as he could and measured off 21.4 linear feet with a 3 foot return. That was on a Monday. Jose could start on a Wednesday. Jose kept me current with weather delays so that there were no surprises. Jose kept on working in spite of interference from the neighbor. Jose was flexible enough to change from cedar posts to steel posts AFTER the estimate was in place. The resulting fence looks great.
Description of Work: I found Jose Villaruel to be professional and efficient. Jose and his son replaced 25 linear feet of cedar fencing for me.

+ 0 moreThey were the most professional general contractors that I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with many. First they powerwashed and restained our fence. They made sure that insurance covered both sides of our fence from the hail damage. They they replaced our roof within one day. We are going to hire them to work on basement and add insulation next. After that we are thinking of hiring them to fix our concrete driveway. I will be calling them for everything from now on. I can't say enough good things about them. Through the whole process Jose wanted to make sure that they were meeting our expectations. They were always on time and did what they said they were going to do
Description of Work: Abba's Construction replaced our hailed damaged roof with a new hail resistaint roof and repaired damage to our fence as well.
