Aspen Arbor Animal Hospital

After many years of check ups and well visits at Aspen Arbor our beloved 9 year old Lab experienced a health crisis. We trusted and paid greatly for blood and diagnostic tests. Initial visit was on a Saturday. Over $700 bill with oral medications. Our dog was vomiting, loosing weight, excessive urination. Schedule back for full day of further test on Tuesday. Left with additional over $800 dollar bill with no answers. When I asked if a second opinion would be recommended, Dr Sackal informed me that all her colleagues at AAAH agreed with the approach she was taking. Dr Sackal displayed no sense of compassion or concern stating “discovery process for animals is different than humans and takes more time.” She was short and seemed offended for my asking. My dog was visibly ill and could hardly walk out of clinic. AAAH plan was to follow up Wednesday with results of the full day assessments ... not able to receive till Wednesday. I left AAAH desperate and helpless for our lab. Took him to Wheatridge Animal Hospital. He was placed in ICU within a few hours of being admitted observed and IV medications due to his inability to keep any of the medications AAAH sent home. Our lab died Friday morning of pancreatitis. 6 days after being seen at AAAH . A common infection that with early intervention and 24 hour care has a chance to recover. AAAH did not give us that chance. We lost our childhood dog because of gross neglect. When we followed up to seek resolve AAAH response was “THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR STANDARD OF CARE!” Warning-AAAH standard of care for any needs beyond expensive(not to be confused with better care for more cost) well visits puts your pets at high risk! We lost our family member and I live daily with the regret of the misguided trust I had in AAAH!

They were very professional. The doctor was always good about explaining things. Their prices are fairly reasonable. They opened the facility a few years ago. It's clean, and the staff is really good. I have never had any issues with the quality of their service. With regard to price, they are probably a little high compared to other vets. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They provide great care for my dogs.  I would highly recommend them.

I’ve had very positive experiences with them.  The staff and the company as a whole are caring, professional and friendly.  When I make an appointment I don’t have to wait for 3 hours.  The quality of their service is good.  I would use them again in the future.

We have been taking our pets to this vet for about 12 years. We have always been pleased with their services. They are very caring and really want to get to know you and your pet personally.

Dr. McKee took time in checking the dog's ears. He showed me that the infection was still present. He gave me a different ointment and ear cleaning solution

The people are very professional and caring. They always call the following day to check on our animal, if there is something wrong. The doctor found our dog to have some additional medical problems at the time but the medication they prescribed didn't work. Overall a very good vet.

They were very thorough and professional as well as compassionate. They were very knowledgeable and treated her the best that they could. They showed me what to do so that I could continue her treatments at home.

EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD, THEY HAD A NEW VET THAT WAS VERY NICE. THE EXAMS ARE VERY THOROUGH, YOU NEVER FEEL RUSHED. THEY WILL TAKE THEIR TIME AND EVALUATE YOUR PETS NEEDS. VERY PROMPT IN REPORTING RESULTS OF TESTS.

WE ARE VERY APPRECIATIVE OF THE TENDER LOVING CARE GIVEN TO GINGER. SHE GETS THE PROPER FOOD AND EXERCISE. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE HOSPITAL. WE BRING HER IN EVERY YEAR DURING VACATION.
