Michael and his team were so awesome to work with. We had a railing that was broken, another loose and the main staircase needed updating. Michael came out and gave a very reasonable estimate, took a small deposit to order the supplies and scheduled the install date for me. His installers came and were super friendly and very polite. They did a great job on the installation, and were very careful not to create too much of a mess. They cleaned up both days that they were here working. Stair railings are tight now and much safer. We had them install wrought iron post and it looks so much nicer..

This company goes by the name Anything in Wood. I hired this company based off of their 100+ reviews. Michael is the owner and Ben and Chris to perform the demo/install. He also uses a painter. Not having a project manager created numerous challenges, including schedule overruns, lack of communication, and ultimately an unprofessional end product. When I contacted Michael with the items that needed to be fixed, his initial response was that he would not be back. UPDATE. Michael reached out last week and we were able to resolve this. Chris and Ben removed and reinstalled all of the balusters, and the painter re-sanded and repainted the cap. I appreciate their time and willingness to correct this, and making this a top priority during the holidays.

Extremely clean work habits

This project replaced stair railings, with iron balusters and wood handrails (red oak). They were exactly what I wanted. The crew was very nice to work with, and they cleaned the place up up before they left. The price was fair. All in all a successful project!

I found Anything In Wood after exploring a few other stairs remodel companies that seemed to be extremely high with their estimates. Michael started the process by coming to my house and providing me with a fair quote and recommendations based on his years of experience. Once the work was agreed upon, he turned it over to Chris and Ben. They are excellent workers - professional and very knowledgeable. Michael, the owner, should be proud of the mentoring he has provided these two gentlemen over the years that has ultimately led to their exceptional skill set - a great lesson in discovering your talents and letting someone mentor and train you to become exceptional at your craft. They did a great job and we couldn't be happier.

This was a very easy experience working with Michael and his team. Chris and Ben did a great job pulling out our old wood spindles, carpet and newel posts and bringing us into the current century. Chris and Ben were great to work with and explained what they were doing and why. They reviewed the wrought iron railing pattern with us to come up with the best design. Additionally, I had requested a quote from another local company known for doing stairs. I finally gave up on them after not hearing back for a week and just told Michael to run with it. I thought his bid was extremely fair from the beginning. Right before they started, I got that bid back and it was 5k higher than Michaels. I googled the newel posts from the quote and they were almost 100% markup. Thanks again to Michael, Chris and Ben. I will probably have them do my basement stairs in the not so distant future.

Mike sent out Chris and Ben to replace our railing....from start they worked non stop, no extra breaks...just worked! The first day they had almost all complete, they took extra time to clean the work area, ensure they left no mess at the end of the work day. Very respectful! The next day they had all in place and job completed, again cleaning my home to ensure they left nothing behind, no mess, no clutter...just very professional all the way around. I will note, these young men who did the project....had more professional ethics and skills then many...many other folks of a much older age.

Michael and his team did an incredible job renovating our two sets of staircases. He was flexible to meet our design ideas and transparent throughout the entire process. His team was friendly, clean and timely - also highly communicative of what was happening each day. The stairs look beautiful and have totally transformed our house. We would hire them again without question.

Our experience with Anything in Wood was great from start to finish! Michael was able to come over right away to give us an estimate and talk us through what would look best in our house and take measurements to get us scheduled for the work. He stayed in contact regularly through the whole process from ordering materials to the installation and finishing touches. Chris and Ben who came over for the install were great! They were always very communicative and polite, and cleaned up very well at the end of each day. We felt comfortable leaving for a whole afternoon while they worked and they were even nice enough to bring some Amazon packages that had been delivered inside for us for safe keeping. If you're lucky enough to work with Anything Wood you'll be showing off their work to family and friends every chance you get. We had just finished a beautiful basement upgrade this year and yet all the focus has been on the beautiful rail and custom gate that Michael and his team, Chris and Ben, installed. It's a wonderful sight to see the smooth red oak rail and the black iron balusters when you walk in the front door, and serves as an epic gateway to our brand new downstairs remodel. We couldn't be happier, and we feel fortunate to have found them. Do yourself a favor - stop your search and call them immediately for your custom rail needs. Unless you hate honest, fair and passionate businesses - these are your guys. You'll consider yourself lucky to have found them, too.

We had Anything Wood install a complete new railing for our home. We have a curved railing so it had to be bent just right. It is stunning! The young men that did most of the work were incredibly talented, worked hard, showed up EVERY day & time they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves. super personable and great guys. We highly recommend! We are so completely thrilled with how out project turned out.

Michael and his team are amazing at what they do. Before spending this kind of money, I do my research. I got over 6 quotes for my job, and met with every single one of them. No one even compared to Michael. He responded quickly, came to our house the next day, and was reachable immediately during the entire process. His team arrived shortly, and had our job done within a single afternoon and the price was more than affordable especially in comparison to the competition. I can't recommend these guys enough, and absolutely loved how the railing turned out!
