Dan's team showed up on time, did a great job. Very clean, very professional.

I contacted this company and received a very prompt reply. I sent a photo of the wall we wanted refinished. I appreciated the opportunity to do all of this by phone and online. I received a prompt written estimate.

The project went great.  Dan was right on time at 7:30am and his crew started work right away.  They had the area prepped and forms constructed very quickly.  They were already pouring concrete at 10:30am, and spent the rest of the day finishing the pour and making things look nice.  They incorporated several drains that we had already installed, and sloped the concrete accordingly.  The project was essentially done by 5pm the same day.  They came by the next day to pick up some of the forms and haul away some dirt.
The crew did a great job and was very professional, and Dan was great to work with.  Gerber will be the first place I call if I have concrete work in the future.

While we did not contract with Gerber they did submit a proposal for our job (large job, >$25K). Their bid was competitive and Dan is very responsive. We would definitely request quotes from them on future projects.

Dan came out on time, looked very professional and was well spoken. Dans bid was not the lowest but it sure wasnt the highest. His reviews on Angies List were great so we decided to go with him. His crew was on time, worked the whole day, and made several changes without having to call Dan. The main reasons I went with him was price, Angies List, and his "can do" attitude. All in all it was a great experience and I'd use him again. The job turned out great.

I tried to contact him near the end of sept. by phone, but he never called me back. I then contacted him through his website, and he responded by email fairly quickly. It was a little odd, but he just wanted to know the area, and what i wanted, and by email he quoted me the 1k price without ever looking at the site area in person. At the end of the week, he scheduled his crew to come out and do the job. They arrived on time, but i was a little surprised that he didn't accept credit cards for a job this size, so i didn't have the cash on hand and didn't have my checkbook with me, but he did come back the following day and picked up a check.  Overall the men he sent were very good, and they did the job very quickly. The end result was fantastic, exactly what i wanted.  I guess with Angie's list, he is very busy, and i can see how i got lost in the mix, but i guess since i only had a small job i did feel like maybe i was more of an inconvenience for him rather than a customer he needed.  There is no denying that his men did a great job though. Very professional and very good at their jobs.

This is by far the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. Dan Gerber set up an estimate and was right time.
After evaluating  the job he offered some great suggestions with a couple of problem spots I had with tying into my driveway and my central air condenser. I was given an estimate that day with a follow up written estimate the next day,his price was very competitive with other estimates I had received. Dan set up a start time to start the work and his crew arrived 15 minutes early and started prepping the site. That night Dan called to be sure I was satisfied with the work before they poured the following day. The day of the pour his crew showed up right on time along with the concrete truck and pumper.Dan then did a final follow up to be sure I was totally satisfied with the work. The finished job turned out far better than I had expected. If You are looking for a reliable and competent concrete contractor I would absolutely recommend Gerber Concrete Services.

Dan is the man!   I was working on a very tight budget and asked Dan if he could come pour and finish the concrete if I made the forms and prepared the area, and he was cool with that.  He was also kind enough to answer a few stupid questions and work with my schedule.  He was very responsive to e-mail and calls and showed up bright and early on the scheduled day. The Gerber Concrete crew is like a finely tuned machine - true professionals and incredible to watch in action.  They sprung into action and had everything done in no time at all. The finishers did an amazing job, and my driveway looks fantastic.  The price was unbelievable, and I HIGHLY recommend Gerber Concrete Services!

Dan Gerber along with his crew were able to work within our timelines. The work started very promptly on the first day and the crew worked very diligently thru the enitre project.   We made one alternation to the plan to whick Dan was extremely accomodating and the project remained on time.   Each day the crew was on time and we found them to be hard working and very detail oriented. The quality of the work was extremely high and the crew took a great deal of pride in doing an excellent job.   Dan responded to all our inquiries and questions very promptly and we appreciated the amount of attention he gave to us and our project

We interviewed a few contractors, but chose Dan Gerber (Gerber Concrete) after discussing our plans in detail with Dan.  Gerber Concrete was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive bid, however, Dan's bid was the best value for the money.  His crew, especially his job site foreman, Angel, worked off a scale drawing to a tee (the complex asymmetrical design for the front entry/steps was implemented within an inch).  The crew were prompt;  they started on the designated day and were on site every day all day.  Angel, the job site foreman, was knowledgeable and articulate, confirming details throughout the process.  Dan was at the job site each morning and again later in the day.  He was also available by phone throughout the day as needed. The crew cleaned up the job site at the end of each day, making sure not to leave debris/dirt in the street or around our home.  We couldn't be happier with the end product; it came out beautifully.  This was an unexpectedly pleasant experience in home renovation--it's rare to be able to deal with a company that exhibits such professionalism and does exactly what they promised to do.

He was excellent.  He went above and beyond our expectations.  He is honest and earnest. He is on top of everything.  He communicated with us throughout the project.

I contacted Dan, he responded promptly, came by the house before I went to work, provided a written estimate.  Dan let me know all the steps that would be taken by his work crew and how long it would take.  The work progressed as he said, with no problems.  Dan's crew cleaned up everything.  Dan has stood by his work and I will contact him again when I need additional concrete and/or masonry work done.

The company arrived exactly on time.  The driver took a hands-on approach to assisting my contractor.  The job involved seven or eight wheelbarrow-filled trips between the truck and the pour site in the house.  The company driver involved himself in tamping down the concrete to assure that there were no bubbles, that the wet concrete completely filled in the hole, and that my contractor was satisfied.
When I initially contacted Mr. Gerber, he offered several suggestions by which I could save money for my little job, in lieu of utilizing his service.  The fact that my sale was so small did not deter this company from treating me professionally, courteously, and fairly.

They were great and I really liked them, and I may use them if I end up not using my family.

He was responsive to our concerns and is availible to talk. He really seemed honest.

Dan responded immediately to our inquiry and gave us a quote, as promised, with various options that would accommodate our budget and timing. Originally, we didn't anticipate that we could afford the entire job since we've had it bid before. But, Dan's quote was extremely reasonable and we were able to do the entire back and side yards instead of doing them in stages as we had originally thought we would have had to. Once we contacted Dan to let him know that we would proceed with the full option, Dan had his crew starting on our job within two days and completed the job in 2.5 days. We've had concrete work performed before at our previous home and, by far, Gerber did a much better job and, always, very accommodating, friendly and professional. We are extremely happy with our new backyard and sideyard and, with the rain last night, there are no puddles or, better yet, small swimming pools of water in our backyard due to the drainage system. Dan and his team exceeded expectations on this project. They responded promptly to my phone calls requesting a quote for the demolition of my pool and they started/finished working on the pool the very next day. There price was very reasonable given the nature of the work and I was impressed at how quickly they completed the project. All of the staff I worked with did a great job communicating with me and keeping me in the loop every step of the way.

They were great. They did our pool originally. They were excellent in terms of their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism. They did a great job.

It went very well overall.  Dan Gerber was very knowledgeable and friendly. Sometimes he takes a couple of days to respond to emails but it seems he's pretty busy.

His team is composed mainly of Hispanic labor, but his foremen speak English reasonably well and are themselves knowledgeable and highly skilled.  They got the leveling of the concrete just right, and everything passed the rain test with flying colors.  The tile work was very meticulous and met my wife's exacting standards.  They cleaned up after themselves very well, and were prompt.

His price was very fair. I did ask him after the estimate for the Angie's List discount, but was told this was included.  The quality was more than worth it to me, but if you're looking after each dollar, you might have to ask upfront.

They provided me with a quote too.  The job turned out great.  Instead of just doing what I said, they recommended what I thought they should really be doing in the first place.  They took my plan and made it a good plan.  The owner responds quickly.  He emailed and got a quote out and got work done in a timely manner.  It was good quality work.
