The workers were on time, great to work with, and really went the extra mile. They were all hard workers (6 guys), making sure to do a superb job. I had gotten 5 estimates prior to selecting Above and Beyond, and went with them because Brian (the owner - he came and gave the estimate) was very knowledgable, and most importantly their estimate was the lowest. I usually don't go with the lowest, but I read enough reviews on Angies List and decided to give them a shot. I was not disappointed one bit. This is a prime example where lowest cost doesn't mean inadequate job performance. Well worth the money spent, and I would recommend them to everyone. I've got some other trees that need trimming, and will have Above and Beyond do the work... I won't even bother getting estimates from others the next time.

They did an excellent job, just like the last time. The service, work and communication is excellent as well. We will be repeat customers.

We used them regularly at our old house in West LA. Always punctual, true to the bid, polite and prompt and great service. The yard always looked great when they were done.

Brian's crew did an excellent job keeping the debris in our yard (as opposed to neighbors yards) and cleaning up after their job. The price was very competitive to other tree services.

I had some large Junipers cut away from the house so that the house painting could be done. So it wasn’t a job which required any money. They did an okay job and cleaned up. I called them back and I wanted them to do some further trimming on the junipers, but I got a lot of resistance from the supervisor on trimming the junipers. So I went to another company who had an arborist to get that done. However, Above and Beyond Tree Service are not arborists. The man who runs the company is very personable and is a very good guy. It was not like a butcher job and they did a decent job. It’s a very good and well run company. They are very responsible too. They called to see if everything was okay after they did the job. They also called back to see if I was happy with their work. They are not like they just come in to do the job and disappear, but are reliable since they have been in business for a long time now. The owner is a straight shooter and that’s pretty rare. Their price was very competitive and good. Their quality of service was fine. Their responsiveness and professionalism were excellent.

The experience before the job was excellent. From the first phone call to Brian's first visit to give the quote. Everything was done professionally and promptly. When Brian came to evaluate the job, it was clear to me from the things he said that he was intimately familiar with what the insurance company and fire department would be looking for and that he had a lot of experience doing this. Then they started work on time, the entire crew was extremely friendly, professional and hard working. It took them 3 days because there was a lot of brush to be cleared. They did an excellent job. The fire department requires that we do this brush clearance every Summer, so while they may not be the cheapest company (nor the most expensive), I plan on using them every year because I know I can trust them, they do an excellent job and they are a pleasure to work with.

I called Brian for an estimate and he came out the next day. I called later that day to schedule the service and it was scheduled within a week. The crew showed up on time the day of service and quickly got to work. Prior to starting, Brian went with me to my new neighbors to explain what was going to happen since the work impacted trees which went into the neighbors' yards on both sides. Brian left his forman in charge and the crew did wonderful work and I will definitely use them again. The trees look beautiful and I have much more sunlight in my backyard. My only negative comment has to do with communication after the pruning was done. The crew left with plans to come back the next day to finish the clean-up (there was a massive amount of trimmings), but nobody communicated that to me. It ended up that they needed to come back two days after the pruning to finish the clean-up and I would have liked to have known that at the end of the first day. That said, when all was said and done, my yard and my neighbors' yards were clean and as I mentioned, the trees were beautiful.

It was a good and knowledgeable estimate. It was just a matter of convenience. They seemed also well qualified. It is about nine trees. Their bid was just slightly higher.

We had a large Shamel Ash tree breaking the concrete in our driveway and the branch overhang covered 2 houses. I used Angie's list to find someone to remove it. Not an easy job as the tree was situated between 2 houses. Called Above and Beyond, and arranged an appointment with Brian Ordelheide who arrived promptly. Mr. Ordelheide could not have been more helpful in giving me a total and reasonably priced solution. We were lucky to get a cancellation and the tree was taken out the next day. The workers arrived on time, fully equipped and worked from 7.30 a.m. until 3 p.m. The whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish. Mr. Ordelheide and his team are complete professionals and we will use them for all tree related services.

Very nice company. Polite, thoughtful, knew what they were doing. Workers polite and several spoke English. Did some extra things I asked them to do after the estimate without charging me. Pleasant experience!

IN THE PAST, I HAD TEN TREES I NEEDED REMOVED. ONE HAD A RED TAILED HAWK WITH A NEST IN IT AND THEY WOULDN'T CUT THE TREE UNTIL THE BABIES HATCHED. I THOUGHT THAT WAS REALLY COOL. THEY ARE ALWAYS PROFESSIONAL AND DO A GREAT JOB CLEANING UP WHEN THEY FINISH.
